But Windows doesn't crash. It's all lies and driver manufacturers fault.

Microsoft told me that Vista was the best operating system of all time and it offered additional protection for me and my productivity work. Incidentally it looks like they said the same about 7 and I've already gotten it to crash a few times not to mention once gone to completely lock that was only repairable via the installation medium (x86_64 version of W7/U RTM MSDN)

Incidentally, openSUSE seems to work fine on the same machine. Must be those nVidia drivers, eh?

openSuse and Windows are using 2 different drivers from the same manufacturer. Nvidia is known for quality on Linux but ever since Vista, we have had more and more problems since nvidia has not too good quality control. While they have improved the Vista driver, it still lacks some performance that AMD cards have the advantage of in some games. Problem also being if you have ATI in your machine and you use Linux, it is hit and miss as there are many who say it works but it don't work.

The funny thing is that yes, it must be those nVidia drivers. Stop snorting the M$ hate koolaid and you'll probably realise that it's not their fault.

OK guys, after trying Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Kubuntu I've decided to go with Kubuntu.

Couldn't be happier, Linux is soooo cool! And it runs incredibly fast on my computer! :o

I'm never going back to Windows, ever.

I have a question. What browser should I use? I'm running Firefox now but don't like it that much. :p

Opera, Konqueror or even a lightweight Web browser like rekonq are pretty good, and all based on QT, like KDE. (Y)
