Firefox 3.5.3 memory leak?

I only got 5 tabs open and it is well over 600 MB!!!

Even when I scroll down, it is very sluggish and slow.. never had that problems before..

Is anyone got a same problem?? maybe its flash problem?

What processor do you have? Do you have the latest flash, and do you have the latest gfx. card drivers?

I just had 10 tabs open, youtube HD video playing back, and it used 195MB, no lag at all. Hell, I even have Fear running in the background

Like I said I never had such problem before.

I have AMD Athlon 64 X Dual Core 5200 2.60Ghz

All the drivers is latest, I have ATI Graphic card with the latest driver.

I have just disabled the Shockwave Flash (10.0.32.18) and it seem fixed the problem - gone back to 100MB!!!

What Shockwave Flash are you using?

Im running 6 tabs also and firefox is using only 90 megs......

Flash could certainly be the cause, I've had an single flash applet use 1.5GB of ram.

+1 for Flash. Go visit the Splinter Cell: Conviction website to find a Flash leak.
