1337 = leet = elite

It is a 'term' for the so called elite people on the internet, you know the diehards that do something for the community.

The thing is that as soon as you call yourself 1337 then you're probably not that elite. Then you're a stupid trend ###### that thinks he is all that (no offence redrope, hope you were just kidding :p ).

The real elite are just nice guys who are special, but act as normal as you and me.

Whenever someone uses this word, or owned, it just makes me laugh. Maybe because they are such stupid words, I dunno. I pwned j00! :laugh:

Edit: Don't even use the word, it just makes you look stupid IMO. ;)

we use it as jokes in real life, like, we will "haxx0r" a jelly donut by removing the jelly, and then refer to ourselves as "1337 haxx0rz" and we keep telling people how we "pwned" that donut

stupid example, but hey, we have done it ;)

Its a ****ing retard trend that I hope dies a horrible painful death soon.

Yeah... I find it really annoying and I never see serious people use it, whos' knowledge is way above those who use it.
