For the Macheisters

Recommended Posts

Looks like Macheist has another one planned to start tomorrow. Not sure if it is Macheist 4 or something related to Halloween or the holidays.

If you are into Macheist, should go in tomorrow or today for some teasers.

If you are not familiar with it, they give away thousands of dollars in software for a low price like $39 or less. I got some high quality software earlier this year through it and it is a good system. They donate money to charity from proceeds as well as entertain your brain with puzzles to solve to get more programs for free. :)

Have fun!

Picked my copy up last night. It took long enough for them to open up the heist but it did eventually happen. 5 days until another one happens apparently. There is still time to pick up your copy if you want it. :)

How do I solve the puzzle? I can't figure out what to do...

If you really want to know, I can PM you the info, but that would take the fun out of it. :) However, take a look at Twitter at this link. There is a major clue there. :)

Thanks for the heads up. They didn't email me, and I'm part of the email list.

No problem. I have been following their Twitter and got the info there. They don't tweet except during that time so it does pay to monitor it every so often. :)

You click the twitter button, tweet the message they put into your message box for you, and then go back to the page to click the link that is now enabled to let you download the program. The serial is in your loot, afterwards.

Don't even have to tweet it. :p Just click the button then return to the page.

The NanoBundle is up... 6 'top' mac apps worth $154 for FREE...

Shovebox, Writeroom, Twitterific, Tinygrab, Hordes of Orcs, Mariner Write

Mariner Write will only be unlocked after the 500,000th bundle download 'participant'...

Only 6 days to go!

Overall some pretty cool apps in the bundle this time around. I sort of relate it to their Christmas Giving Tree they had last year. There are some utilities I will use now and some later in this bundle. Since it is software being given away for free, I can't complain and like others am archiving it with my serial numbers and will have them ready if needed later on.

WriteRoom should be free anyway :p

I want TinyGrab since GrabUp hasn't been updated for Snow Leopard. Apparently I need to wait for my license to come through, or something.

Re-check your receipt, it should be there now, Mine didn't appear on my receipt until the day after!

We are on our way to the 6th app unlock... it needs 500,000 and we are on 134,000... I'm not too sure it will be unlocked 5 days left! :s

Yeah cheers, got it working now, and it uploads to my server just fine. Woot.

Grab these apps while the heist it's on guys. We need to reach the 500,000 mark in two days in order to also get Mariner Write for free.

Damn, didn't notice the other thread. You can close this one :/

    • BS, I've yet to run into a typical pc user that uses it at all, let alone half the population.

    • The site is pretty sparse on features / tech specs. Can I plug it into a PC/hone/Switch via USB-C and use it as an external display? If so, what's the virtual resolution of the screen, the refresh rate, PPI of the image etc? Is the text crisp enough to use for coding at say 12pt? Is it good enough for playing dark games, like say Path of Exile 2? How about fast games like car racing games? Just how do they expect anyone to order this thing without giving out all this info?
