Outlook or Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail

I've been using Windows Mail since I got vista. I have Outlook installed, but I never use it. So are there any sufficient reasons for me to switch to outlook or WL Mail?

I voted for Outlook, because it is better imo, and it is what I use.

But if you just need to check e-mail and don't need anything else then Windows Live Mail should suffice.

It depends on what you use it for. I use Outlook at work because I need to keep track of calendars, tasks and large contact lists, besides the native e-mail functions, of course. For my personal e-mail I use Windows Live Mail. Windows Mail should be the same thing, Microsoft just shifted it over to the Live branding since it wasn't including it in Windows 7. If I were you I'd use Windows Live Mail since eventually you'll be upgrading from Vista.

I did used to use Outlook 2007 however Windows Live Mail offers all the features I used in Outlook. It also just works unlike the Outlook connector you have to install to use Hotmail accounts in Outlook. (Yes Hotmail has POP access but that?s no good for multiple computers)

WLM is what I'm using right now; it's good and it does suffice, so yeah, my vote goes to it. I would say that Outlook is better, though.

Outlook is more powerful, but the best depends on what your needs are.

I tried using Outlook 2007 but it reminds me of work and I didn't like using the connector. The Windows Live Mail program is fast, lightweight, syncs mail/contacts/calendars without any issues(Y)Y)
