yeah about a month ago i bought a 47" lg led lcd.got my pc hooked to it. damn Far Cry 2 looks Awesome. the best i watched on it so far is Watchmen Directors Cut on Blu-Ray. Movies like Wall-E, Bolt and pretty much any computer animated movie blows away any normal film.

They arent Dane. Check out tiger. Its throwing away blu ray players basically. And bestbuy is said to have some of the top Sony,LG,Toshiba blu ray players on sale for black friday. All 100-200 less the original price.

I'm checking out that site now. I work on black friday so I wont be able to get anywhere for the sales. The cheapest I found was on Newegg for one.

Although on Tiger direct they have cheap ones, but they are refurbs.

For newegg, I found this one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16882103416

is it good?

Depends what company you go with. I think a select few offer 1080p signals... I know around my area, Rogers only offers questionable 720p streams... but i'm sure i'll be corrected in a minute by somebody though :p

The DMP-BD60 is a GREAT PLAYER. I dont know how you found it so cheap. About 2 months ago a friend from work ordered it because he heard it was region free. When he got his(from tiger) it was $230.

Finally got it home, hooked it up via HDMI, and its BEAUTIFUL. I was there trying to see the region free, and it worked. Not saying they all are. He got lucky. Also there is I do believe a firmware flash. Anyway the features are great. BD-Live, Memory cards, the numerous features + the quality and the name make it good.

About tiger, yes they are refurbs, but just wait, every week they have a new one up there. Last week magnavox for 100. Yeah while its not a big name, a buddy of mine had me order him one, we hooked it up and it does perfectly fine. Its not the fastest blu ray drive, but it plays, silent, nice functions, etc. Its a very simple blu ray player, something to the equivalent of those cheap $40 dvd players. So it plays blu rays, but dont expect it to do more.

Get the Samsung BD-P1600. Great player, great picture, fast loading times, and has Netflix/Padora/Blockbuster/Youtube streaming. Got it for $180 about 6 months ago. You probably can get it on sale for $150 or less now. The Panasonic DMP-BD60 is good, but it's slow as a turtle and has freezing issues, I heard.

I'm trying to find a Blu Ray player 150$ or less. I don't think I'd notice a difference on one that is way more expensive.

I stopped at a blockbuster that is closing, and walmart and amazons prices are still cheaper which i thought was odd.

I just found this one LG Network Blu-ray Disc Player BD370 - Retail

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16882005044

that maxes my limit out for what i want to spend.

I also just found this one from Sony.

http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BDP-S360-1080p-...5111&sr=1-2

I guess it would go well with my Sony TV.

Although I am told there is no eject button on the remote....wtf

One thing that is getting me, is every channel is like pixelated, but I am saying thats because its not HD service. Correct?

Also what about this Blu Ray player?

http://www.amazon.com/Sylvania-NB530SLX-Bl...7004&sr=1-1

I try to stay away from off brand names, but this player has gotten some pretty good reviews.

The Samsung BD-P1600 is pretty cheap. Got it for less than $200 six months ago. It should be cheaper now. But since the economy seems to be getting better, places like Amazon, Best Buy, etc are charging $200+ for it now. Usually when it's on sale it's about $150 or less. Oh, and it has an Eject button on the remote too. ;)

Sony BDP-S360 is good, but is slow as heck. Even slower than the Panny. The Samsung and LG players are way faster. Trust me, with Blu-ray, get a fast player because they're noticeably slower than DVDs due to all that Java junk they put in BDs.

Yes, Samsung 1600 is as fast as the PS3. Sony S360 is downright slower. If you have the money, get the Samsung 3600 as it's the fastest Blu-ray player to date. I'll link you to some CNET reviews where they explain all that.

    • Epic fail, should've added an eSata port on the back, also if the memory/NVME are soldered then they're hardly gonna sell any, first thing most people do with their Steamdeck is, or used to be, replacing the NVME with a 2TB one.
