cod2 - enable punkbuster.. how?

Ok, it has been a long time since i played cod2.. but i can remember there should be an option in 'multiuplayer options' to enable punkbuster...

You can see there is no option..

i looked it up in google and figured it could be a modded version.. but my call of duty2 folder looks clean..?:

I startup cod2 multiplayer with qtracker.. but when i just open cod2 multiplayer on the desktop i have the same problem..

I just run cod2cleaner:

deleted hunkusage.dat and iw_blood.iwd .. but this did not help..

Download punkbuster here, install it if you havn't installed it yet, if its already installed try reinstalling it:

Hi SuperKid, i did install punkbuster allready ofcourse.. (with pbsetup)

But i just installed the file from your link.. it said all test are ok. I opend call of duty 2 mutlipalyer > multiplayer options, but still there is no option to enable punkbuster..

When i go to Task Manager, i can see:

PnkBstrA.exe

But shouldent there also be a PnkBstrB.exe ??

EDIT2:

I just started PnkBstrB.exe trough Start > Run > services.msc

But this did not help, still no punkbuster option available in cod2..

i did a clean install, problem solved
