I'm playing with the following system:

Phenom X4 9850BE 2.5GHz

ATI RADEON HD4850 512mb

3GB RAM

Win 7 32bit

and the game runs smooth on 1920x1080 with everything maxed out but AA set to 2x and SSAO off.

And yes, 3-dimensionally thinking is a must here :D

What's your fps?

I'm struggling to even play at 1680x1050 even though my gaming laptop can play GTA IV at 1920x1200 at 19-30 fps. Maybe because my CPU isn't powerful enough to handle this game's awesome details?

System: 2.26Ghz C2D, 4GB DDR3, 9800m GTS 1GB

Actually I think it is also your video card.

I have a pretty good system for gaming...

Intel Core i7 920

6 GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600

EVGA X58

1GB Nvidia GeForce XFX GTX 285

Xi-Fi Platinum Fatality

Windows 7

And at 1680 x 1050 at high settings I get anywhere between 40-60 Frames Per Second.

At 1900 x 1080 I get anywhere between 30-50 FPS

Naturally both of those are depending on what is going on.

Not only does it seem CPU intensive, but the game is definitely pretty damn graphically demanding as well.

And the following information is straight from their site...

No doubt about it. It's the only game that I could not play at 1920x1200. It doesn't help that it's also a DX10 only game. Thanks for the information.

It's pretty sad that this game has high requirements, because for how it looks, it runs like absolute ****. I get anywhere from 35-60 with full screen (1680x1050), vsync off, ambient occlusion off. Why use a benchmark engine for a game? Who at Futuremark thought that was a good idea?

How is it pretty sad? There is no adjustable view distance so t makes your system process and render every single detail. It's also a DirectX 10 game.

Not a problem. (Y)

When I turned Ambient Occlusion on for kicks and giggles at 1900, it dropped down to 10-20 FPS. :pinch:

I noticed that option and didn't turn it on, not even to see how it looks in-game. It's a performance killer.

:| I turned it off and got 15-30 fps at 1920x1200 (only the textures and shadows are maxed while the rest are turned off). Thanks for suggestion, Larry.

Moonrise content released: http://store.steampowered.com/news/3465/

It adds four new maps. Haven't tried them yet. Also, you'll need to connect to updated servers to play the new maps.

Anaron and I were talking about this game a little while ago, nice to see they added new guns to it.

Haha, yeah. It's funny you mentioned that because we talked about the game having only one weapon last time (the assault rifle). It's nice to see that they're still adding content to the game.

I remember buying this on a steam special... I really should get round to playing it at some point xD

Same here. I bought four copies and never played it the first time. My net connection is a lot more stable now but its still a relatively low quality EVDO signal so not that great.

Don't bother picking it up..

The latest NVidia drivers don't even work with the game.

And they're blaming it on Nvidia's drivers.. when the game's SPONSORED by NVidia.
