Graphics Comparison: God of War Collection Vs. Originals

Recommended Posts

No difference what so ever apart from the increased resolution and possibly some aa and a higher level of af (hard to tell on these tiny screens).

As Leo Natan said, you have been able to do this on pc for ps2/gc/wii/ and any older systems games for ages

So, they increased the resolution... Still look like PS2 games. You can achieve similar to better results with PCSX2 (and a sufficiently strong CPU :p).

No one is saying you couldn't do this previously on a PC, you couldn't do it on a console though.

Looks good and may tempt me to be importing :) (Y)

The graphics are a little better..yay

And we get trophies too :D

TAKE THAT PCSX2!

This statement is so stupid on so many levels, but I'll play along. Take a piece of paper, write down 50 challenges you want to achieve. Now play the game. Whenever you achieve a challenge, draw a trophy next to its line on the paper. Yay, trophies!!1

By those guys implementing trophies into the games, i don't have to write anything down on paper, thus doing my part to save the environment.

Obviously not a fan of achievements or trophies eh?

original colours looks better the collection, but the textures look way better in collection.

If I were to get it, id darken the hell outta my tv to make it look more like the original I think

Guys this isn't a new engine, they ported the PS2 engine in 15 weeks.

As for saying nothing new have any of you played GoW1/2? It's not 60FPS capped, ranges between 30-60, and as you can see on page 1 there's bad screen tearing. This is 720p/60FPS and screen tearing is gone, and also how do people with a PS2 with no BC play the games?

It was the fans that requested for this to happen.

Not as much of an improvement as I was expecting. Good I guess if you're never played them before, but not worth a repurchase if you already have them IMO. Kind of disappointed to be honest. I was expecting more.

    • Ah. La Fontana De Incontinentia ! Bella ! Bella !
    • Hi everyone, I'm planning a small network upgrade and was wondering how others prepare their networks for future needs. Do you usually invest in higher-speed switches and better cabling from the start, or do you upgrade only when necessary? I'd be interested in hearing what has worked well for you and any lessons you've learned over time. Thanks!
