Want a Bad Company 2 Beta Code?

Recommended Posts

OK, I've played it, and I'm not impressed. It's much better than the first Bad Company, but the controls are still as complicated as BF1943, the graphics are mediocre, and they've taken a few ideas from Killzone 2 (the jerky cameras, mainly), which would have been a lot better if they didn't use them.

I used my key to download the beta from the PSN Store; however, I can't find any servers to play on. I tried it at least 10 times yesterday and today. Has this happened to anyone?

Did they not include ranking in the beta? Not that I really expected it anyways.

Sure they did - its saving my rank and weapons

Not sure what I think of it

Feels like a dumbed down version of Battlefield 2 :/

The sounds and feeling of the weapons are awesome tho

Did you get the 1.01 patch?

I think so. I checked for a system update and it said my PS3 was up-to-date.

i had the same problem, you gotta quit the game and go back in... it's not a beta for nothing!

Im really enjoying, more fun for me then MW2. This game is more tactical and the maps are HUGE. I think the graphics are pretty good, but this is still a early verison of the game so who knows how the final release will look like.

I'm liking it better than MW2 so far but it definately needs polish but thats why it's a beta. It's nice i get to try it on my PS3 early but I'm definately going PC for this, the controls are a bitch on a console for a game like this so far I only think Warhawk has pulled off the grunt to vehicle control concept effectively.

Is it better than MW2?

its all personal opinion.

I like it more just as I like the first one more. Sniping is 10x better because you actually are sniping. not using a highpowerd rifle with a scope to hit someone 100 feet away.

you actually have to place your shots and aim ahead. bullets take time and drop.

but its really buggy.

and like the first I am still better with my pistol then any other gun

its still like 5 months till release or something so lots of time to fix bugs

I like the fact that when you're sniping, you can choose when to unscope/reload. In some ways I can see how that can get annoying, but it adds a little bit of realism to it. The fact that bullets take time was something in BFBC1, so I'm not completely impressed with that. Great changes with the buttons though, much easier to use. I hated how before melee was triangle, I'd always freak out and press the wrong buttons.

Not sure how I feel about them adding revive into the game. That is a very BF2 thing and the things I liked about BFBC1 were the things that separated it from BF2. What's next? Put in claymores for recon? Add a commander to the match and allow him to call artillery, uav and supply drops? No thanks, I'll just play BF2 for that.

What I'd LOVE to see though, completely taking from Splinter Cell but that game doesn't even have good multiplayer so screw that, is to include some spec ops into BFBC2. Include infrared or night vision, have a night map. Was really hoping that Splinter Cell would have a good multiplayer... -_-

I went on it before and I was like o_0...no idea who the enemy was or anything. It doesn't help that I was on my CRT telly with SD so I couldn't see half of it, but still...I didn't know who to shoot or anything, and then this tank just came from behind and blew me up...Gawd knows what happened. I just went back on MW2.

Plus it was really, really laggy.

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
