dumble
Neowinian'z, I have a computer and a wide screen tv, i connected them with a s-video cable.. The image on tv-screen is not full-screen, it is to big for the tv-screen also when i play videos!. I used to have an s-video connection, the image was to big for the tv-screen but when i played a video it adjusted to full screen. Why doesnt it do this? Is there something wrong with my media player settings? I tried to play it with km-player and vlc mediaplayer... I think i need to change video-output settings, i have know knowledge of this so i don't know what to do.. John.D
If Nvidia control panel is installed, go into it / right mouse on the desktop. Or see if its in control panel. I'm not using a Nvidia card, so I cant tell you where to go from here Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/844628-s-video-video-output/#findComment-591837786 Share on other sites
LACSr
Try changing the resolution on the #2 display in the Settings tab of the display properties. I find that 800x600 usually work fairly well for TV. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/844628-s-video-video-output/#findComment-591838326 Share on other sites

dumble
hmm problem is solved.. i had to change this option: Very change, because i thought my dell e772p should be the display that windows should use as primary.. but i dont mind, video is working now.. Resolution on my tv is 1024x768.. this is to small to read text on the tv.. for some reason i cant change it to 800x600.. when i do this my dell e772p changes to 800x600 and i get a blue screen on my tv.. i also can not adjust desktop size and position.. As long as videos play i dont care.. but its strange that these function do not work.. EDIT: I noticed another strange thing, when i go to display properties > settings. I see this screen: You can see second display is not active, with verry strange resolotion, i took this screenshot when my tv screen was active with clone image of my pc-display..
