Sometimes in long RPGs I stick on god mode if I'd rather just experience the story/gameplay. Not that often though, and not really with todays games - Most have forgiving checkpoints/quicksave.

I used to have my Xplorer cartridge for my PS1 :p I remember spending countless hours adding long codes into that thing

oh god I remember those!

I havnt used cheats in a longggg time. and even then it was usually because i beat the game and was bored.

worst i do now is sometimes get stuck and after running around for 2 hours at the same spot, will look at a walk through online.

I get really angry when people cheat on Halo Custom Edition (aim bots who are sniping at impossible ranges even with a pistol, turn god mode on and off) and Zombie Panic (enable noclipping, walk through wall, disable noclipping)

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start

Mortal Kombat 2, Sega Genesis !

What do you consider cheating? There are times I'll look up a walk-through for a game if I have absolutely no idea what to do next but then and only then will I do it. Well, I shouldn't say only then because once that walk-through is open on my PC I can't help but look on when I'm not even stumped :/. Generally though I'll only look for one when I have no idea what to do. Otherwise I play throughw ithout assistance. Cheat codes such as God mode and whatnot totally ruin the game and make it boring for me.

I can't even remember the last time I cheated?

Using cheats just ruins everything for me, the experience, the immersion and the challenge. I know they can be used to add some extra fun to a game like infinite ammo, money and such but that gets stale so quickly. The personal sense of achievement by completing a game where you've used cheats completely disappears! Getting stuck in a level which happens rarely for me, I'd rather opt for a walkthrough instead despite viewing those as a borderline cheat as well.

Now don't get me started on online cheaters ( Read: hacks ) - Those people are lower than scum and I wouldn't mind stomping on their little acne riddled faces with a pair of muddy old work boots.

I only cheat in specific games:

Sims/Sim City: I want to build without worries

early TrackMania: To make awesome tracks

GTA3: It's just more fun to cause havoc in Liberty City then doing missions

Yu-Gi-Oh games: I want to build decks from the start, not sit 365 days there to get all cards

    • Did Labour lose big? They had losses there is no doubt. However let's look at the reality. The conservatives have 168 councils I believe. Labour have 113 and Reform...38. That's a lot of growth for Reform granted. But that is not a wipeout, Reform don't have the majoring in fact at 76 I believe the Liberal Democrats have nearly twice the councils Reform do. So I am thinking there is a lot more noise than signal going on here. Now then let's talk about the law. It's an age restriction. We do it for cigarettes, **** and alcohol. This idea that some kids will find there way around it so it's not worth even trying is really really sad. Hell we can't stop every murder. Should we stop trying there too? That is the logical conclusion.
    • A game not selling doesn't mean the people working on it did "bad work". It reviewed decently well. It was also on gamepass on release.
