Photoshop / Photomerge

Question

This is realy anoying me now, im tyring to use the photomerge filter in cs4 for the first time and it keeps coming up with a box saying "some images could not be auto alligned", and then it gives me just the images i selected on screen with no merge.

Ive searched google, the best i could find were reset your preferences, done, and re-install, done...

Please does anyone know what this is?

Im just using small .jpg files, ive tried with loads of different images none work.

Were you trying to create a panorama, or a collage? If the former, it's important that all the pictures overlap each other and also also were taken with similar settings and conditions.

Also, don't forget to select 'blend images together' option in PhotoMerge

yeha they all overlap, i even tried it with basic solid colours just to test it and still same error.

Not really sure what could be causing this, although sounds like something is not right with Photoshop/Photomerge...

Only real suggestion I could give is to download all the latest updates, and if that fails to contact Adobe support which normally provide good service...

    • I did that to a work colleague many years ago when he left it logged in. Unfortunately I was out of the office the next day, and even the IT department was stumped lol. Got a bit of a bollocking when I got back into the office, but, by god, it was worth it.
