andy_rose
I just upgraded my WB 6 to WB 7. Now my question is if I can get a download link to WB 7 like I did with WB 6, or do I really need to install Impulse to get it? Dont want to install an app just to be able to download another app. Seems pointless. I also would like to have the actual wb7.exe file at hand whenever I decide to do a reinstall. _neutrino Veteran Posted November 19, 2009 Veteran Share Posted November 19, 2009 If you go to the window blinds page you can download the program with the link provided for the "Free" demo and then just put in your code LINK Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/847276-about-wb-7-upgrade/#findComment-591868418 Share on other sites
Island Dog
You can't enter registration codes via the demo. Impulse is required to download WindowBlinds 7. If you need to reinstall it will always be available in Impulse, and you can archive also if you wish. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/847276-about-wb-7-upgrade/#findComment-591868682 Share on other sites
andy_rose
Sorry for my ignorance, but what does archive means? Will that give me an exe file to WB7? If not, you should change that option back like it was for wb6 where you just could get via email a direct link to just wb. dont like to HAVE to install impulse to get wb. Island Dog
Archiving allows you to keep a backup of the current version in an archive file. As far as I'm aware, Impulse will be the primary download method for at least the time being. andy_rose
Hmm too bad. Really like WB7 though! Good job, but let us who have payed for it download the program itself without the need of Impulse please. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/847276-about-wb-7-upgrade/#findComment-591870376 Share on other sites
+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted November 21, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted November 21, 2009 Impulse is Stardocks content delivery system - any software they release will use it. As far as I know. XmoshiX
They're too afraid of piracy, so they stopped delivering content the old fashioned way, thus punishing the legit user. Stopped using their crap products when they decided to do this.
