Hell-In-A-Handbasket
because it would be out of the way, and any bass would be felt more due to positioning in theory Why? Joel
because it would be out of the way, and any bass would be felt more due to positioning in theory Felt as in, my chair shakes? Sub positioning is tricky. You can't just put it anywhere and think you're all set up because you have a sub. You may get the worst response possible putting it where you think you want it. Dashel
You would be better off putting the sub near a wall surface, preferably in the corner. Having a sub is about making it work correctly with your main loudspeakers, not creating a rumble-seat. I dont' know if I'd go the wireless route though, its pretty easy to run/hide the requisite cables. If anything, just go wireless for the surrounds. I'm partial to Klipsch or Definitive myself at that price point but the Paradigms are a nice set. Hell-In-A-Handbasket
not for a "Rumble Seat Effect" per say, just didnt think it would be heard over the satellites far away. only sub i have is for my computer ( Klipsch 4.2 , old set ) and its under the desk and im partial to Klipsch myself but about the HTRC160, CNet gave it good reviews, but looking for other opinions You would be better off putting the sub near a wall surface, preferably in the corner.
