Am I the only living human being that has experience significant issues with getting 64 bit running reliably?

Everything from the 64 Bit iExplorer not having Flash support at launch, Intel Storage Matrix software trashing my RAID 1 arrary, lengthy stalls in performance, non-installation of mainstream 32 bit applications are just some of the issues I've had to work through.

This was a clean install on a Quad Core Duo box with 4 GB RAM, 1.5 TB RAID 1, with Win7 Ultimate.

Unfortunately, there is no 64-bit version of flash at the moment, so you're pretty much stuck here. Just have to use the 32-bit version of IE xP

It sounds like you are not familure with the beast. There is currently no flash available for 64bit, and you may need to go directly to Intel to get the latest software matrix software and driver for Windows 7.

It's screaming right along here, especially after installing an SSD X24-M.

Everything's fine now. I did go to Intel, AMD/ATI, and many others to grab the latest fixes for 64 bit. That'll ultimately stablized things. I was mostly venting...

I had a great experience running Win 7 32 bit RC from the beginning, but I shoulda known better to expect a perfect 64 bit experience.

I'm anxiously preparing to run the 64 bit beta of Office 2010 next...

Um... no, a quad processor can't be called duo. It's either a quad (4 cores) or a duo (2 cores). Q6600 (Kentsfield) would mean it's a quad, 2.4GHz.

Intel? Core?2 Quad is its proper name. That's what I'm running as well. So far no problems running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

I'm running Office 2010 x64 and it flies, much faster than Office 2007 on the same machine. Not only that but it seems extremely stable for a beta build.

Been running X64 Windows, first Vista and then 7 for nearly 2 years now with no issues at all, only thing that doesn't work is the original Trackmania, and that doesn't work on Vista or 7, 32 or 64 bit due to the outdated Starforce driver

Try getting it through Steam or gog.com, i'm using Trackmania Nations Forever and that works fine.

Trackmania Nations Forever works fine, all of the most recent Trackmania games work perfectly well for me, it is only the original Trackmania game that doesn't. The original Trackmania game isn't available on GOG, and Steam only has the most recent Trackmania game in its catalogue.

    • I would recommend the Nothing 2a. The battery life is awesome, 2 or 3 days without going into battery power mode. The only thing that I've been looking into recently is that it doesn't "support" Graphene OS. I'm pretty sure there is a way, I just need to do some more looking.
    • You'd have to show me an example of a listing that says Gen 1, usually i'd expect that to mean Snapdragon Gen 1 (a type of chipset, which the Pixels don't use). Pixel 7 - White - 128gb - Unlocked - 85%+ battery - Grade B+ - $159 with free delivery - https://www.ebay.com/itm/398046617206 Pixel 7 - Obsidian - 128gb - Unlocked - 80%+ battery - Very Good - $157 with free delivery - https://www.ebay.com/itm/355617734563 Both look to be sold by companies with good feedback, dealing with refurbished phones and state the phones are unlocked with a clean IMEI. Obviously I can't vouch for either company though, but the listings look good in my opinion.
    • Because Chrome is doing it. And no one said anyone had to update immediately. That's silly. They could update every day for all I care as long as it's fast, and the next time the browser restarts, you're good. And the basic point is not to tee it up for bigger updates. As it is right now, all the windows I had open reopen anyway except inprivate.
    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time
    • I remember when Louis used to just do interesting Mac/iPhone repairs, now he's boring and just launches "crusades" every week
