I bought a Ps3 today

Recommended Posts

but those cost as much as a ps3..why not get the gaming system with it as well?

sure the blu ray may not compete in terms of performance to other ones but again you're not paying just for a blu ray you're also getting a latest gen console with plenty of other features i believe you are asking for too much for too little

You dont understand, im not the one classifying it as the "best" blu ray player for its price. Many people argue that. Its a decent blu ray player at its price, because with it you get a latest gen system, as you stated. But thats it, everyone thinks PS3 means gaming system and "great" blu ray.

Apparently you and him didnt get my point. The MAJOR reasons that kept PS3 going was BC that most upgraders wanted because as everyone else that upgraded, I myself was a ps2 gamer, never xbox, and I was dead set on getting a PS3 until they removed the important stuff while doing price drops. So you need to stfu and learn how to read.

Like most people now the PS3 is at a "perfect" price. But with some of the good features removed its pointless on getting one. Anyone saying its the "perfect" blu ray player at its price is wrong. Just the blu ray aspect of it isnt even a comparison to some of the top 200-350$ blu ray players.

As far as gaming console goes, it doesnt have much of a selection, all I see people REALLY BUYING is killzone, infamous, resistance, ratchet&clank, and uncharted. And im talking about physical media, not downloads before you bring flower and all those games into check.

Regardless its a good system, just not for me and half the other people buying 360s lately who ARE upgrading from ps2.

And you missed my point, topic poster buys a PS3 and obviously wants some recommendations on games/people to add him as a friend, and you steam roll the topic with why the 360 is better/why you don't like the PS3. Topic poster didn't ask for PS3 vs 360, he's already bought one

Grats OP, the PS3 is a fine machine and Im certain you wont have any hardware problems like you did with your xbox 360.

There are plenly of games for the PS3 that I could recommend, but truth be told, mate, just buy whatever game you like. All the games in my opinion have been great, and the ones coming out next year are supposed to be really really excellent.

^ Thanks for pointing that out Jimmy because I was just going to point it out but then audio would be back in here with another reason to post a reply towards my reply.

Anyway, audio regardless of me "stream rolling" the topic, I still recommended games. So idk why you think I came in here said "OMFG NOOB YOU GOT A PS3, get a 360!?!?! you fail for getting a ps3" and left. No I didnt, I was curious why he did and explained why most people didnt go to the ps3 and still do go to the ps3.

Huh? With exception of hmm, halo (killzone2), forza(soontobe GT5), l4d1-2 (lol pick one) what other games are they offering that cant be found on a ps3? Saints Row?

anyways, Pick up Arkham Asylum if you didnt already on your last 360. Perhaps the 1st Uncharted. Also mentioned on another thread MGS4. Demon's Souls if you have any hair you wish to lose. :D

Since you came from 360 i think you should definitely grab the God of War collection, assuming you didnt already have these on ps2. The game defined Epic and is an appropriate welcome to the console.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
