When I built a new computer last year, I didn't attach the floppy drive. Then I broke open all the floppies and played with the "magnet disk" as frisbee(I was able to easily throw them to ~40 feets by spinning). :laugh:

I do. Remember this handy little DOS program which let you copy all kinds of weird floppy formats?

As you can see from the software image it all have to do with single-head/double-head and number of sectors that can be created of the disk. There was also something related to high-density diskette I dont remember properly now.
