Outlook 2010 icon looks like a beaten up Linux penguin

Recommended Posts

The new icons overall sure are dreadful, Microsoft still hasn't learnt that chang for the sake of change still isn't a good thing.

I like them, I think they're an improvement on the '07 icons at least.

Just installed office 2010 and although I really like the new outlook the icon is just hideous ... To me it looks like the Linux penguin who got beaten up by some MS employees ...

Who agrees and who can suggest a better "new" icon ?

I do see a face, but come on. It looks nothing like a penguin. Damn linux fan boys.

AHAHHAHAHA yes I see it, too. I agree, these icons better be placeholders, they're awful!

And what happened to the new mail notification overlay on the new Windows 7 superbar? I don't see it

No, the icons will be final. Maybe MS might tweak them a little but that is it, the place holder icons were infact the Office 2007 ones.

What?!? MS change the Office icons with each release, it makes it easy to identify which version of Office is installed without needing to even run it! and the icons are fine, they blend into 7 much better then the Office 2007 ones do.

EDIT: To what this topic is about, somebody has way too much time on their hands to notice that and then make a big deal out of it...it's just a f$%#ing icon get over it! damn people, what a bunch of whiners!

    • This is listed as a preview in WU for me. I usually don't grab them as previews; what's your opinion on it so far?
