The weirdest thing just happened to me!

I was walking back from a friend's, and at about 01:59 (Heard the church bell shortly afterwards), I saw out of the corner of my eye a white flash in the sky, now I just passed it off as an over active imagination, but several minutes later, as I walked into my close (having a much better view of the sky from this angle), I saw another white flash that took up most/all of the sky, it was kind of like a camera flash, but very large in scale. I could hear no noise either time, and it doesn't seem like the kind of weather for lightening (plus, no thunder was heard?), it was too large a flash to be fireworks. I've been keeping an eye out through my window since and I've seen nothing else. Anyone have any idea of what this might have been, or seen anything similar before?

flood lights? sky lights? (like those lights batman uses for his logo)...........your flashforward?!!

It was your flash forward for sure.

I suppose it could have been anything though :/ It could have been a flood light from somewhere. Maybe it was a meteor you saw passing :p

I guess it probably was a meteor then, although the flash forward idea does sound a lot more interesting (albeit I didn't see anything, hope I was just asleep!), wouldn't have been a flood light I don't think as I live in a small town near to no sporting venues (plus it was 2AM, nothing happens at 2AM over here ;-/), does anyone know of any websites that report meteor sightings or anything of the kind? Just want to verify that it was in fact a meteor and I wasn't seeing any spooky stuff :p

I see this often actually.

I even went to the optician about it and they say my eyes are healthy, so im not sure why i see it a lot. Its usually out of the corner of my eye.

Heat lightning, it can be seen many miles away from where the storm is and be silent.
