Would this be of any help?

Thanks, but I've already tried using the same profile via -ProfileManager which causes some extensions to behave poorly. I've also added the "browser.bookmarks.file" string to my about:config in my Kubuntu FF profile and have it pointing to my WIN 7 FF profile.

I'm wondering if the change to places.sqlite is causing this to be more difficult than it should be.

Hmmm....

FF 3 took out support for using the about:config string to let two profiles use the same bookmarks.

Now I'm wondering if a Symlink from my Kubuntu FF profile to the places.sqlite database file in my Windows 7 profile would do essentially the same thing?

Anybody familiar with symlinks? What I'm thinking of doing is having the places.sqlite file in the Kubuntu profile link to the places.sqlite file in the Windows 7 profile.

Any experienced help appreciated!
