RaINE: Where does this slowdown occur? I've not noticed it myself....

spacey: will fix that when I get home tomorrow :)

Dark Vageta: thats not a bug it follows the caption bar style, if however, no-one likes it I'll remove it totally...

xcession: no probs, I really appreciate your efforts on the Winamp skin, excellent skin and it also means I can spend my time fiddling with Trillian Pro skin :)

OK I'll get rid of it :) Was in split minds about it in the first place, I'll get rid of the border completely I think...

timdorr: excellent news :)

Anyone want me to include the original Classic version of the theme? Its basically much closer to Windows Classic, but with some nice touches here and there.

I suppose that was a stupid question :)

Its basically 'flat' version of Classik, the inactive caption bars give away its main appearance.

Will post it tomorrow when I get back.

excession: you mind if I include the Winamp skin in the forthcoming builds? Obviously all credit will be given to you in the readme :)

ok, here we go. this is the in-progress WB4 version. I've tested it with the latest WindowBlinds builds off ObjectDesktop and it should include toolwindow support. Areas to work on:

-Start Panel stuff (I've done my best here, but it can still be tweaked)

-Other color schemes

-anything else that comes up

Here you go:

Wow. Awesome.

I was going to use this as my default theme...until two teeny weeny little "glitches" popped up. heh.

In Corel 11 products, the menus seem to have lost their borders, so with the exception of the drop-shadows, you cannot tell where the menus begin or end. The menus end up blending in with the color of the toolbars.

In AutoCAD 2004, the toolbar buttons seem to be chopped off on the right or bottom sides, depending on if the toolbar is vertical or horizontal.

These problems are probably not fixable, so oh well.

I've noticed that the latest versions of these two products have included buttons and menus that were designed to flow with Microsoft's Luna theme. (Kind of like the way Office XP has included the blue/grey-on-white that supposedly goes well with it too.) What really ticks me off is that you cannot turn off these options to go back to Classic--you're always stuck with what they think looks good on Luna. This takes away from many other great skins that could be used instead. It's not just Autodesk or Corel. There are tons of companies that do that. This is more of a rant to the developers of those programs, not to you. ;-)

That aside,

You have created a magnificent visual style, b0se. Although I regret that I am too picky to use it, I still love it. Keep up the great work.

Woohoo! This is great news. When I first downloaded DMX, I immediately thought "This inactive title bar is nice...I'd love a theme with an active title bar that looks like this."

I'm stoked.

    • What about it? The old MV2 version will not work.
    • Wow, this is some Iran, Cuba, China, Russia, North Korea-level citizen surveillance right there, the UK's government has gone totally mad. Power trip indeed, their politicians are totally out of control about this issue. They're starting to cross limits I wouldn't have imagined, to be honest. British people, fight this, your privacy and freedoms are in danger. Vote this government out of power.
    • Nintendo unveils The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, and it's out this year by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Confirming many rumors, Nintendo officially announced a remake of the classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the very first game in the series that offered a 3D experience to fans. Unlike previous remasters and re-releases, the originally 1998-released fantasy adventure game is being remade from the ground up for the Nintendo Switch 2 console this time. "The Nintendo 64 classic returns for a new generation in 2026, reborn exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2," said the company about today's announcement. While Nintendo didn't go into much detail about the project, other than confirming its existence, we did get a small teaser trailer at the Direct presentation today. Catch the footage below: With a tapestry as the backdrop, the first half of the trailer tells the tale of Hyrule, the Kokiri forest dwellers, and their fairy companions. It goes onto introduce "one particular boy" without a fairy, which then cuts to a sleeping Link, showcasing what looks like the new art style being introduced in the remake. Unfortunately, no gameplay or a look at the world has been revealed yet. The game originally released for the Nintendo 64 back in 1998, offering a time travel adventure where Link is once again going up against the evil king Ganondorf. The hugely well-received title has only been playable on modern Nintendo consoles using the Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the Nintendo Switch 2 doesn't have a firm release date yet, but Nintendo says it will be released sometime in 2026. Considering just how many publishers are avoiding the Grand Theft Auto VI release nowadays, the company may copy that strategy and also opt to bring this out before November this year.
