Bored of MW2...

Aim assist in SP only works if you're close to the target and there's a definite "snap" to the target as soon as you aim down the sights.

I've just tried it on MP and there's nothing like that. I aimed down my sights using SCAR-H w/ ACOG sights and there was no snapping to target or even dragging when someone passed it by.

Its probably the reason why you've got so many kills LOL

I don't have a lot of kills and my K/D ratio is around 1.29 Same K/D ratio as any of the other FPS I've played. You can notice the aim assist in SP but it doesn't work with MP. At least not here I think.

As far as I know, it is only a very light aim assist in the MP, and it is nothing like the SP where it snaps right to a person, it just moves every so slightly in the direction the person who is running when you aim at them (if they are moving), It is more like a very small nudge in the correct direction, not a true aim assist by any means.

It's enough to be annoying if you rely on pin-point accuracy - The times my aim has been messed up when trying to kill someone and a second player running in front of my scope, literally dragging it away from my target. Oh and it's not always just "a very small nudge", the effect can be pretty profound in certain situations.

This. Not that MW2 is the only game to do this (Halo 1/2/3, for example, also do it), but it's incredibly annoying to have the game decide to make your crosshairs chase a target who is not nearly as big a threat as the one you are trying to shoot.

I love MW2 ... it has the best graphics I've seen in a game ... the subtleties in the detailing etc is just phenomenal ... the scene where you're in the capital building and looking over Washington is IMMENSE! Don't tell me other games look better right now. They don't. MW2 is getting a lot of geek hate. It happens to all high rated games. The geeks come out in full force to slag the game off because they feel 'cool' or 'powerful' for going against the grain. MW2 is probably the best FPS game I have played. And I've played em all now. It may not be long enough, but no other game immerses you as much, no other game has the 'feel' that MW has ... the feel of the character movement, the guns etc ... it's perfect. Other games pale.

There. Done.

Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 :p

Are knife fights common on the console like they are on PC? Lightweight pro, marathon pro, commando pro for extended reach and throwing knives.

I forget the level name, but there is an open area courtyard and a laundry mat next to it. There was 2 guys chasing each other knifing the entire time. Looked like the greaser knife fight dance from the 50's.

I've done that on the 1v1 cage matches for a laugh. :p

Batman, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and Assassins Creed 2 all look a damn sight better.

Really? REALLY?... REALLY?!

MW2 is probably the best FPS game I have played.

Go play Half Life 2.

MW2 is impressively fluid due to 60FPS and what it does on consoles for being a 60FPS FPS is impressive, but hell no is it the best looking game, not even on the PC maxed out.

To be fair it's variable 60FPS on consoles anyway, but aside from some heavy set pieces in SP, I don't think the frame rate dips much. You certainly can't call it locked at 60, only way you're getting it locked at 60 is on a PC.

The feel of MW1/2 is the best 'arcadey feel', hence why it's like half price candy to the masses, but if you're talking in how guns really act and what not, no :p Recoil is pretty much non-existent for a start.

I think the biggest problem for people isn't they hate the game, it's just I assume it feels like been there done that, with a SP campaign that's getting a lot of flak, I'm presuming a lot of the COD4 vets are getting bored quickly with MW2 MP as it feels very similar.

Of course more of the same when something is good usually goes down well, but there's a fair few other titles coming out just now that are almost overhauls, see AC2 for one, that are drawing people away from MW2.

I admit maybe we were considered this time around because of the extra coverage UFC was getting and they wanted a broader audience for this release? IDK. I can tell you that we aren't paid to do the reviews, the fun part of it is (mostly) being able to keep what we review and giving an honest opinion on what we're reviewing.
