What finger do you use to scroll the mouse?

Typically use my index finger. On occasion, though, when gaming I'll use my middle finger if my index finger is busy left-clicking.

Me too. For me it's the following:

Index finger -> left click

Middle finger -> scroll wheel

Ring finger -> right click

Surprised? Just about everyone I know uses their index finger to scroll. If they used their middle finger or any other finger, I'd notice. And it just feels weird using your middle finger. I'm talking "putting your watch on your right wrist" weird, when you're right-handed.

I thought this was an interesting question. I tend to use my index finger. But I think it's not because I can't use my middle finger or even ring finger. It's that at times I click the wheel. Unlike the left button, which I click with my middle finger, the wheel takes a good deal of force to click (relatively).

I can click it (for scroll-locking) with my middle finger but my index finger is much stronger, so I think I default to my index finger for most of my wheeling.

I just presumed most people would have their index finger on the left button, middle finger on the wheel. For me it is uncomfortable having my index finger scroll, it's also quicker for me to operate the computer as myindex finger is left to click. . . well. . . quickly!

I will use my middle finger for right clicking though.

My pointer (Index Finger). same one I use for the left mouse button. All I do is lift it up and set it down on the roller.
