[Steam] Holiday Sale

Resi 5 is not worth the price, as many actual retailers are currently selling the console version new for ?14.99.

Meh, todays deals are not that impressive. I shall wait til tomorrow!

I'm seriously thinking of getting RE5 as it costs RM85 at the moment instead of RM179 but is it worth it? I enjoyed RE4 and I wanted to get RE5 but it was too expensive at the time.

Scirwode

No, I don't think it's worth it. It's amazing how Capcom managed to ruin it when it was based mostly off RE4, which was a fantastic game (and IMO, the best of the series). The basis of "run, spot enemy, stop, aim, then shoot" has got annoying now, but not as annoying as the AI for your partner, which is extremely dim-witted. Also, they have the cheek to charge you for DLC when it's already on the disc!

Wow. Battlefield 2 is MUCH harder than I remember. Makes Modern Warfare 2 look like a pre-school game! :|

I was playing Battlefield 2 pretty solid over the last year or so but IMHO they messed it up with the 1.50 patch which changed a LOT of things about the way the game worked and it put me right off. Probably for the best as getting addicted to any game isn't a good thing.. haven't touched it since playing it the first time after 1.50 came out!

But yeah - compared to modern FPS's its a heck of a lot more hardcore and there are some seriously good players out there on the internet. Took me months and months of playing before I could start to score anywhere near as well as the better players - and even then, sometimes I'd still get absolutely thrashed in a lot of games :(

Guns appear to kill these days :p

I remember putting half a clip in someone with the medics unlock before they'd die. Now it takes 3-4 rounds and you're dropped! Might just wait on the new one. Saying that I'll need a quad core before that's released!

Not really on the list of "great deals" but I bought the iD super pack for $35..lost my disks for Q3 and Doom3, so those two games were worth the pirce

rest of the list -> http://store.steampowered.com/sub/440/

Also I have the demo of Torchlight downloading to see if i'll pick that up as well..

EDIT: After playin for a couple min, I decided just to buy Torchlight, esp since its only $5...

Edited by rage710

I had to laugh at Torchlight being $5 - especially after someone said earlier they paid $9.99 for it!

As a rule of thumb : Don't buy ANYTHING else until the sale is on the last day, just in case it comes up cheaper on the daily sales! (Sorry guys :p)

I wonder what tomorrow's deals will be...

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.
    • Doesn’t surprise me at all. God is light & He gave us life so it sounds almost logical that we would therefore emit a certain amount of light.
    • This is what I want. Hey Gemini, how do I remove you from all my google products permanently?
    • I would never install install this build before rtm process. only 3 months to go. never install on your daily devices. just wait 3 months.
