[UK] E4 Skins

it's probably had 11 proper complaints but saying to your friend isnt really a complaint its a thought :p, if all those people complained the show wouldnt be on air no more :alien:

aha, yeah, I was just saying that more people were "worried" (for lack of a better word) by the ending, or annoyed about it than e4 are trying to make out.

E4 responds to feedback on Effy's episode.

?Thank you for your feedback on Effy?s and Freddie?s stories

Mental health charity MIND were consulted on the production of episode 5 which dealt specifically with Effy?s psychosis. Freddie?s murder in episode 7 was an off shoot of this storyline. The character John Foster is purely fictional, a TV ?baddie? and a pivotal part of a heightened fictional scenario, climaxing in the shocking end of this episode which was broadcast just before 11pm.

Scheduling Skins at 10pm allows us to include adult content, however we do take your comments seriously, and it was not our intention to cause distress to viewers

What gives i mean even if MIND were consulted it still dosen't portray an acceptable story for the teenagers that watch Skins, as mentioned before Drungs and Drink shouldn't be promoted in the way that it is, even if it was broadcast at 10pm you can watch it anytime you want on 4od so that argument is ridiculous.

Channel 4 are just trying to cover up this massive heff up

'Skins' exec promises "fun" series five

The executive producer of Skins has promised fans that the upcoming fifth series will be more fun.

Series four has received criticism from viewers following Freddie's (Luke Pasqualino) murder during last week's episode, which some deemed an necessary plot twist.

Responding to the comments, Skins boss John Griffin agreed that the current series should have been less depressing, but defended the decision to kill off Freddie.

The Sun quotes him as saying: "Next series we will see all the fun of Skins again."

The series four finale of Skins airs tonight at 10pm on E4.

    • VidCoder 12.20 by Razvan Serea VidCoder is a DVD/Blu-ray ripping and video transcoding application for Windows. It uses HandBrake as its encoding engine. Calling directly into the HandBrake library gives it a more rich UI than the official HandBrake Windows GUI. VidCoder can rip DVDs but does not defeat the CSS encryption found in most commercial DVDs. You’ll need the NET 8 Desktop Runtime. If you don’t have it, VidCoder will prompt you to download and install it. The Portable version is self-contained and does not require any .NET Runtime to be installed. You do not need to install HandBrake for VidCoder to work. Feature list: Multi-threaded MP4, MKV containers Completely integrated encoding pipeline: everything is in one process and no huge intermediate temporary files H.264, H.265, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, VP8, Theora video Hardware-accelerated encoding with AMD VCE, Nvidia NVENC and Intel QuickSync AAC, MP3, Vorbis, AC3, FLAC audio encoding and AAC/AC3/MP3/DTS/DTS-HD passthrough Target bitrate, size or quality for video 2-pass encoding Decomb, detelecine, deinterlace, rotate, reflect, chroma smooth, colorspace filters Powerful batch encoding with simultaneous encodes Customizable Pickers to automatically pick audio and subtitle tracks, destination, titles and more Instant source previews Creates small encoded preview clips Pause, resume encoding VidCoder 12.20 changes: Updated HandBrake core to 1.11.2. • Too soon, I'm still not over this death!
    • Normally, I admit when a title is clickbait (unfortunately, it's become somewhat necessary to compete against AI-dominated news sections today), but in this case, all supported versions is implied and doesn't need to be spelled out in the title. Of course, I'm covering a Patch Tuesday update bug that is only available to supported Windows SKUs. All our coverage relates to supported Windows software and SKUs only unless we expressly state that it's "unsupported", "unofficial", or "third-party". I'm sorry, but supported/official SKUs don't need to be spelled out as such in every Neowin headline.
