But the old CPU entries (for dual core), still appear in device manager. Can I delete the 2 entries in device manager, then reboot?? Then, will the right speed / CPU appear under Processors in device manager?? System and the BIOS show the new speed, but device manager doesnt

yes, I say this because I had to delete similar entries showing the wrong information...upon boot windows will update them to match the bios entries.

AMD 64x2 6000+ to AMD 64x2 6400+
