nice app.

cleared 5GB of data, which TuneUp Utility 2010 or CCleaner never showed :D

i selected "standard" scan, & kept answering "NO" to every pop-up, still it just deleted the files.

i thought it would show a preview - the files that are going/safe to be deleted (like TuneUp/CCleaner). :p

anyways, congrats. :)

Well, it turns out it's screwed my install of Windows, the programs history is not even keeping entries now of what I've used.

EDIT: It also deleted all my compatiability view settings as well.

CCleaner does that as well, it's easy to fix, just merge this registry file and then log off and back on

Edit: Why can we upload ZIP but not RAR files

That doesn't make it free. It's a Shareware application - a few [albeit minor] features are disabled and you get a nag screen every so often after the 40 days.

From a very-grizzled computer veteran such as myself - based on the results I just experienced in running this app for the first time, I'd give this sweet little app 6 STARS :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

I had done some *very* manual clean-up work before I installed Win7U36 - and your app released another 1.6GB of disk space.

I am *very* impressed - and as anyone here who knows me will tell you that to impress me takes quite a bit. Your app is small, concise, precise, accurate and the features - such as the pop-up prompts for actions - are, IMHO, on-the-mark.

Well done!

edit: In fact, I just Tweeted about it!

NZ has computers now? ;-)

Where do you think the second hand computers that you use in Australia come from? :D

I don't know if it is because of your tweet but hits to my website doubled to 12,000 from the usual 6,000 per day. Thank you very much for the kind review!

It's screwed with my recent programs histroy, as well. It refuses to update the list now, even though everything is set to do so. It also seems to have a lot of useless "tweaks". Just another cleaning app that apparently does more harm than good, and also looks terrible while doing it. I'll stick to the ones that actually work: TuneUp and CCleaner.

Wow, congratulations. I'm actually enjoying this far more than CCleaner, and I've been a huge fan of CC for a while now. Guess when I do my optimizations and clean ups of friends/clients computers I will install this program instead.

Hrm. IT DOES mess up your recently used programs list. :(

Just restart your computer and the list will start repopulating. If you know how to do so, just kill explorer.exe and restart it. The list will populate immediately without a restart.

If you could let me know what those tweaks are, I'd be more than happy to explain why I differ in opinion, or change the program accordingly.

Worked fine for me... Surprisingly fast too.

Though it says nine files cued for deletion, but I can't figure out why it won't delete them.

Those are files that are currently in use and cannot be deleted. They will be deleted at the next restart.

I can confirm that a restart fixes the recently used programs list. Hopefully, a future update will address that to remove confusion. For now, I'll continue to evaluate it and give a more thorough opinion on it later. Outside of the recently used programs issue, I don't recall having any other problems.

There is nothing surprising in how your software is getting positive reviews, it's really great; it easily beats ccleaner in discovering more un-needed stuff and the scan is really, really fast. I love it!

I think, however, that the program perhaps lacks more options to control what it does, I wish there was an option to scan first to tell me what I can delete then I can tick what I want deleted in just one window rather than asking me during the process itself multiple times (I can provide mock-ups If you want).

Maybe there is an option and I might have missed something. but overall, I'm sure I will recommend it to my friends (oh and I have tweeted about it too!). :)
