So should Hamilton be stripped the title bcoz Heikki let him past in 08 at the same track? Get over it seriously...

Yep, we all clearly heard Ron Dennis getting on the radio saying "Heikki... Lewis is faster than you. Please confirm that you understood that message"

There is no evidence that McLaren used team orders in '08, no incriminating radio traffic. You can only punish someone if you have evidence of wrongdoing.

The "evidence" is that Heikki, a racing driver, moved out of the way and let his team mate pass him. We can all agree that no racing driver would do that if the team didn't instruct him to one way or another. The public also does not receive the same information that the stewards do. Let's not be naive. But in either case there was no clear instruction of team orders, you can read into it all you like but the "evidence" is not there, which is why the WMSC made the right decision and the FIA will be reviewing the regulation.

That didn't actually happen at the Italian GP in 2008 come to think of it, Heikki finished 2nd, Lewis 7th. If you are referring to Silverstone or Hockenheim.. Well I will concede that you have a point with Hockenheim, it did look contrived but with Silverstone, Lewis was about 2s a lap faster than Heikki at that point, he probably pulled that pass by himself. Still, as I said, McLaren implemented it all quietly, Ferrari hung themselves in public, AND lied to the fans and media about it after. Whatever way you look at it, they screwed up badly.

Another factor to keep in mind for tomorrow: A lap of Monza == 70% full throttle. A lot of drivers have engines which are close to EOL.

There shall be fireworks in the last 3rd of the race.

Yeah I thought about that too. Legard mentioned that Ferrari have used 8/8 engines (or is it 8 per driver)? Either way, it could wreck his title chances if one fails.

What a disappointing result for Lewis. Hopefully he will improve tomorrow.

nah, that rule is stupid, they will pay 100 grand instead... :)

100 grand for what? They get a 10 place grid penalty if they use a 9th engine, and a further 10 place penalty for any further engine after that.

It's called a joke, you know because Ferrari break the rules and only ever pay a pathetic fine. :p

I don't forsee the engine issue being a problem, as all but 3 drivers are using brand new engines for this grand prix, however, particularly for Ferrari and Red Bull, it could become an issue as the season draws to a close. McLaren have the edge on the engine front IMO

What kind of start was that? Alonso seemed to be asleep, the chaos in the first chicane was not as bad as I expected it to be, and Hamilton's move on Alonso was.... over-optimistic.

Decent race. Congratulations to Alonso - he clearly was the fastest on track today.

RBR's strategy gamble with Vettel paid off in the end, keeping his title chances intact.

This weekend's Reject of the Race: Lewis Hamilton. You just don't throw away like that.

Lastly: I thought we'd see more mechanical failures than we did.

Decent enough race, Hamilton threw away his chance to get a margin in the championship. Alonso kept his nose clean enough after the encounter with button, I wouldn't put it all down to that incident the strategy Ferrari side was better. Hulkenberg on the other hand, 3 corner cuts defending a line.. I'm shocked that wasn't investigated.

    • Media Player Classic - Home Cinema 2.7.2 by Razvan Serea Media Player Classic - Home Cinema (MPC-HC) is a free and open-source video and audio player for Windows. MPC-HC is based on the original Guliverkli project (which is no longer maintained) and contains many additional features and bug fixes. As the continuation of the original Media Player Classic, MPC-HC isn’t flashy but it works with nearly any media format. MPC-HC uses DXVA technology to pass decoding operations to your modern video card, enhancing your viewing experience. And MPC-HC supports both physical and software DVDs with menus, chapter navigation, and subtitles. Overview of features A lot of people seem to be unaware of some of the awesome features that have been added to MPC-HC in the past years. Here is a list of useful options and features that everyone should know about: Dark interface Menu > View > Dark Theme When using dark theme it is also possible to change the height of the seekbar and size of the toolbar buttons. Options > Advanced Video preview on the seekbar Options > Tweaks > Show preview on seek bar Adjust playback speed Menu > Play > Playback rate The buttons in the player that control playback rate take a 2x step by default. This can be customized to smaller values (like 10%): Options > Playback > Speed step Adjusting playback speed works best with the internal audio renderer. This also has automatic pitch correction. Options > Playback > Output > Audio Renderer MPC-HC can remember playback position, so you can resume from that point later Options > Player > History You can quickly seek through a video with Ctrl + Mouse Scrollwheel. You can jump to next/previous file in a folder by pressing PageUp/PageDown. You can perform automatic actions at end of file. For example to go to next file or close player. Options > Playback > After Playback (permanent setting) Menu > Play > After Playback (for current file only) A-B repeat - You can loop a segment of a video. Press [ and ] to set start and stop markers. You can rotate/flip/mirror/stretch/zoom the video Menu > View > Pan&Scan This is also easily done with hotkeys (see below). There are lots of keyboard hotkeys and mouse actions to control the player. They can be customized as well. Options > Player > Keys Tip: there is a search box above the table. You can stream videos directly from Youtube and many other video websites You can stream videos directly from Youtube and many other video websites Put yt-dlp.exe or youtube-dl.exe in the MPC-HC installation folder. Then you can open website URLs in the player: Menu > File > Open File/URL You can even download those videos: Menu > File > Save a copy Tip: to be able to download in best quality with yt-dlp/youtube-dl, it is recommended to also put ffmpeg.exe in the MPC-HC folder. Several YDL configuration options are found here: Options > Advanced This includes an option to specify the location of the .exe in case you don't want to put it in MPC-HC folder. Play HDR video This requires using madVR or MPC Video Renderer. After installation these renderers can be selected here: Options > Playback > Output Ability to search for and download subtitles, either automatically or manually (press D): Options > Subtitles > Misc Besides all these (new) features, there have also been many bugfixes and internal improvements in the player in the past years that give better performance and stability. It also has updated internal codecs. Support was added for CUE sheets, WebVTT subtitles, etc. Media Player Classic - Home Cinema 2.7.2 changelog: Updated LAV Filters to version 0.81-23-g6fadb Updated MPC Video Renderer to version 0.10.2.2540 Updated MediaInfo DLL to version 26.05 Updated MPC Audio Renderer Several crash fixes, bug fixes and small improvements. • No problems here using the new Outlook. In our company we started to default installing to users on new computers or when we're reimaging. But, if the user needs/ask for the classic one, we install it. Low reject rate at this point.
    • Yeah it's my only home/business computer. The Surface Pen magnetic Storage is on the left side, but it doesn't charge the Pen. I do the charging once every 6+ months by interchanging between 2 rechargeable AAAA batteries and charging the other via a USB A battery charger.
    • I have NO problem restricting minors having access to apps. Personally, I'd like to see the restriction extend to smartphones too, but that should be the parents anyway. But on the restrictions ? GOOD LUCK enforcing that. Between VPN's, side loading and what not, I'm sure kids will find a way around it.
