Why? Kimi had to move over for him in China 08... cheating ******? You obviously just have a blind hatred towards Alonso.

its a little difference if you move over for your teammate when u out of wdc battle, or when both are still in and the wdc still wide open.

alonso didnt need to cheat his way to win this year in hockenheim. massa 100% deserved that win, only 1 day after one year after his horrible crash in hungary where he nearly died. ofc. alonso doesnt care about such things as he is a bad character, seen many times this year when he , instead of fighting, was whining on the radio about "hamilton is unfair..." . blablablabla.

today it would have counted and alonso failed again. im not surprised at all. will his used engine last 50+ laps with 16 seconds full throttle each? i really doubt so. he is on the backfoot now. and very error prone in interlagos, he has never won there.

Guess who else have no fresh engines left are are using "used engines"?

2 Rets, 3 3rd's, 1 4th and 2 2nd's ain't at Brazil ain't that bad either.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Williams may have been running with a wet setup on Hulkenberg's car, it's the only thing I can think of that would explain the extraordinary difference in pace between him and the title challengers, although it's impossible to say for sure. Alonso being back in 5th sure is good news for the title, and for his challengers, and I am sure Massa will be relieved that his awful performance means that he's now unlikely to get arrested :D

Also Jenson... just hasn't fired in the second half of this season. Sad for him, but as long as Lewis stays in the hunt I will be pretty happy.

Armed men have attacked a car carrying British Formula 1 driver Jenson Button in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.

Button was unhurt, said a statement from the McLaren F1 team.

Button had been in practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, and will start 11th on the grid.

Brazil's major cities have a bad record for serious crimes of violence, which have caused concern ahead of major events like the 2014 World Cup.

"Would-be assailants made an attempt to approach the car that was carrying Jenson Button" on Saturday, said the statement from McLaren.

Button, 33, was quickly driven away by an armed policemen in the reinforced armoured vehicle provided by McLaren.

Button's manager Richard Goddard and trainer Mike Collier were also in the vehicle.

Mr Goddard said: "We were about three or four minutes away from the circuit when the incident took place.

"I would suggest there were more than four or five guys, something along those lines, who emerged from a block of flats.

"I initially saw one guy carrying this piece of wood, a baseball bat kind of thing, but I didn't spot the one who had a gun until someone pointed it out.

"It was pulled, and that was it really. You didn't really have time to think about what was happening.

"You hear about these kind of things in Sao Paulo, and because they don't come home to roost, you don't think about them. But when it almost happens to you then it's fairly worrying."

He said they were lucky to have a police driver on hand to force his way through the traffic and get them out of what could have been "quite a frightening situation".

A McLaren spokesperson said: "The police driver of Jenson's vehicle reacted swiftly and, using avoidance techniques, rapidly forced his way through the traffic, taking Jenson and the other occupants of the car immediately away from any danger and back to their hotel."

The spokesperson added the Sao Paulo authorities had also acted efficiently and would provide additional security for Button and other team members on Sunday.

BBC Formula 1 commentator David Croft said Button reported seeing six men all brandishing machine guns approach his car.

The reigning world champion praised the quick actions of his driver, whom he described as an "absolute legend".

Three years ago members of Toyota's F1 team escaped a similar situation when they were also approached by gunmen, David Croft said.

Glad Button's OK. I wonder how it might affect him in the race, although he's basically out of the Championship now.

I imagine there is only one word to sum up his weekend so far and i imagine he is thinking the same. It mixture of Ship and pit ;)

They was on softs when he got that time, so it would be impossible for him to get that time with a wet setup.

Not at all, the time was still slower than a dry setup, besides the extra downforce would have made him pretty quick in the middle sector. I was of course referring to the aerodynamic setup of the car, and not the tyres he was using.

Sutil, Liuzzi unhappy with each other

Adrian Sutil says his Force India team will speak to team-mate Vitantonio Liuzzi after the two drivers held each other up during their qualifying runs at Interlagos on Saturday.

They swapped positions a number of times in Q1, with both drivers claiming it destroyed laps they were on.

"I feel the team should have a word with him," said Sutil after the session. "I don't have to ask them, they are already going to have a word. I think the whole team should sit together because it is unnecessary and just creates a problem. We need to concentrate on our performance and get the most out of it, but today we didn't."

Liuzzi spun towards the end of one of his laps and held up Sutil when he rejoined the circuit. Sutil claimed Liuzzi held him up on two other laps as well.

"I passed him because he was just cruising around the last corner and I was on my flying lap," said Sutil. "I had to pass him there, and then I had a bad exit so he passed me again in the next corner and destroyed my second lap. After I let him by, he came off the circuit and came back on in front of me on my next flying lap."

But Liuzzi is adamant that he was not at fault: "I was backing off, but then he tried to pass me and destroyed one of my laps. When I came back onto the circuit, I looked in the mirror and nobody was there - and I knew he was quite far behind.

"I don't see any problems, I had to pass him in the track a few laps before so he could have done the same if he was so close."

The Italian agrees that the matter needs to be discussed within the team: "I think after this race, there will be a lot of explanation."

hahaha this is sooo true!

many fans see the truth that alonso is a cheated champ.

anyway... todays race was nice. redbull drove home a perfect 1-2 and its all in their hands now. they have the car and the next track really suits them well, all they need is another 1-2 and this time they could swap positions and webber becoming wdc.

Well, I was expecting Button to finally be out of the title race after today, and Hamilton is pretty much out of it too.

I'm glad Red Bull's won the Contructors' Championship; now I just want the season to finish on a high note by having either Webber or Vettel win the Drivers' Championship.

Prepare to see Vettel let Webber pass him just before the finish line at Abu Dhabi if they're all in the same position today, which is likely unless Alonso pulls out a blinder. Although, this is Formula 1, so who knows what's going to happen next week! I'm glad there's no break :)

Must have very selective memory.

Shame to see the McLaren boys so far behind, but the sad fact is, if anything McLaren have just been falling back during the second half of this season. Would rather one of the red bull drivers take the crown over Alonso, no real preference though.

up until now i have been 100% supporting webber but the last week he has just been a whinging bitch...bleh

Likewise, his constant complaining has started to get under my skin. At the moment Seb is being portrayed as a villain (especially over here in the UK, in most cases simply for being German), but most people seem to forget that he's actually a nice bloke with a great sense of humour, nothing like Schumacher. If it wasn't for all of the mechanical issues he's had he would have the title sewn up by now, I feel he would be a deserving champion.

    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
