vettel does it with an absolutely superb job! he was the man of the year and really deserves it so does redbull for having best car.

alonso just has proven again what a sore, bitter loser he is. complained to petrov after crossing the finish line. can this guy get any lower? what a lame crybaby.

**** that, was perhaps the shittest race of the season. Should have been Webber.

It was probably the most intense race of the season with 4 drivers all having a chance to win? Yeh I would have liked it if Webber won as well, but things didn't go well for him in qualifying and was downhill from there.

Hey at least Alonso didn't win =P

imagine how massa took the wdc loss in 2008 and also the last lap engine blow in hungary that year.

and seeing alonso acting like a big fool today makes me hoping that:

- ferrari makes massa the teamleader for next year. you can say about this guy what you want but in decisive races he puts it on pole and wins.

- massa and his race engineer smedley leaving ferrari to replace redbulls webber.

Awesome race, troll of the year award goes to Petrov and Renault :p awesome driving by the young russian (and Kubica) ! Honestly I'm disappointed in Alonso, that was a really poor showing what he did at the end there; this is racing and Petrov did really well. Shame for webber, but there just wasn't anything there from him all weekend and I can't help but think he was used as a decoy.

Bring on next year, lets hope it's just as good!

Good race to finish the best season of F1 i've watched.

So glad Vettel won, I think Hammy could of put in a challenge on him if he could of jumped past Kubica but the track didn't seem to lend it's self to overtaking much.

Loved Alonso stuck behind Petrov, why would he move over? It's racing! Petrovs little nudge after the finish was quality.

Webber was very subdued. I really think the most deserving driver won!

Congrats Vettel! Party on.

suspicion #1

was it really necessary of petrov to hold back WDC contenders, or did Renault help their customer team :p :p :p

He didnt hold them back, he wasnt a back marker he was racing for position as well, so called 2 times world champion Alonso with all his "skill" couldnt pass him.

alonso showed paytrov (lol, gotta love THAT name) the middle-finger. thats telling ... if he doesnt change his character he wont win any wdc anymore. since 2007 he is a broken guy and acts like a princess. :p

or like some1 has put it:

When Felipe was beaten by Lewis at the last race at Interlagos 2008 he helped the Toyota crew get out alive from the circuit because of Glock's unfortunate position at the last ccorner.

When Alonso was beaten by Sebastian at the last race in Abu Dhabi 2010 he was shaking his fist at Petrov, a driver that was fighting him for position almost all race.

Funny to get to know the characters in F1 when everything is balancing on a knife's edge. That's when the real faces show themselves.

massa > alonso.

long way to go for slowlonso. i also think ferrari guys will notice very well how each of them behaves and reshuffle their support for 2011.

To me, it looked like Red Bull as a team played a great race.

They KNEW that Ferrari would react to Webber's pit stop, and they stopped KNOWING that Webber would come out behind Petrov/Rosbert etc. etc, very very smart move by Red Bull IMO, however they could never admit it was on purpose because I think that would be the last straw for Webber.

Red Bull also smart not putting all their eggs in one basket, had Vettel moved aside last weekend to let Webber through, neither of their drivers would have won and Alonso would be champions.

As much as I wanted Alonso to win, and how well he's done coming back from 40+ points down, I have to hand it to Red Bull that they have been fantastic this year, being able to keep 2 drivers in competition for a world championship (especially with Ferrari only backing Alonso, which is a bit of a shame for Massa) has been phenomenal.

Massa is a great guy, but he's just not got the pace any more. Kubica at Ferrari next year I reckon.

Great season, really enjoyed it, bring on next year.

hahahhahahhahaha  i bet the renault drivers looked exactly like this under their helmets all the race long ... :woot:

'tis the one problem not having a TV licence - while I don't mind not paying for 99% of the crap the BBC produces / shows, waiting for the F1 to appear on iPlayer, especially when it's a championship deciding race - Had to avoid the internet from around 1pm, so as not to spoil it :)

Boo Fernando - Big Cry Baby, if you wanna get past, you've gotta get past - Team Orders means the other driver in your current team helps you out, not the people in your old team. Gonna watch the F1 forum for the last time, just to see if Eddie Jordan makes a ###### of himself. Again.

    • Amazon eero Pro 6E mesh Wi-Fi system 2-pack is 27% off by Ivan Jenic The Amazon eero Pro 6E mesh Wi-Fi system is currently $239.99 on Amazon for the 2-pack, down from $329.99. That's 27% off and $90 saved for a solid Wi-Fi solution that covers your entire home (purchase link down below). The 2-pack covers up to 4,000 square feet (372 square meters) and supports 100+ connected devices, which handles the vast majority of home setups without breaking a sweat. Wi-Fi 6E brings access to the 6 GHz band for lower latency across the network, and the 2.5 Gb Ethernet port supports gigabit+ internet plans if your ISP offers them. eero's TrueMesh technology handles traffic routing automatically, so you're not manually managing which devices connect to which node. You set up the entire thing through the eero app, and the entire process takes a few minutes. The system also receives automatic security updates in the background, so once you set it up, you don't have to worry about compatibility issues. If you're covering a larger home or want more nodes, the 3-pack is $329.99 and the 4-pack is $479.98, both at similar discount levels. It's worth mentioning that a newer model exists, which is likely the reason for the discount, but the Pro 6E is still perfectly capable hardware for most homes. • Ladybird Browser is no longer accepting outside contributions thanks to AI by David Uzondu The Ladybird Browser Project has announced it will no longer accept public pull requests and will limit changes to those made by its maintainers as it works towards its first alpha release. According to Ladybird's creator Andreas Kling, this is "not a change we make lightly," but the rapid shift in AI capabilities forced their hand. Previously, a massive PR implied that the person behind it put a lot of care into the code and is ready to "answer for the consequences." Now with AI, anyone can generate a PR without even understanding the bug fix or feature they want merged. The blog post goes on to say that the team is closing all open public pull requests immediately, and that maintainers will not treat external forks as a review queue for upstream Ladybird. Instead, the team wants outside contributors to focus on reporting bugs and running tests. Kling started Ladybird back in 2019 as LibHTML, a simple HTML viewer for his hobby operating system, SerenityOS, but by September 2022, it had turned into a full-fledged browser project. What sets Ladybird apart from the likes of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox is its totally independent engine, which does not rely on pre-existing codebases. The project maintains a strict policy against default search engine deals or user data monetization, keeping development funded entirely by donations and sponsorships. Generative AI is forcing open source project maintainers to rethink how they handle public code contributions (and the whole open-source thing in general). One month ago, a leak about the National Health Service (NHS) suggested the organization was planning to take all of its public repositories private ahead of a May 11 deadline, thanks to Mythos (an AI model that Anthropic believes is too dangerous to be released to the public) and its ability to find and write exploits for zero-day vulnerabilities. Thankfully, the Government Digital Service (GDS) issued a counter-report titled "AI, open code and vulnerability risk in the public sector" that stopped the shutdown by pointing out that hiding code does not improve security.

    • I like the show more options. The only problem with it is that it's not always in a consistent spot in the menu. If the copy/paste/cut, happens to show on top, then more option is the last in the menu. But if copy/paste/cut happens to show on the bottom, then more options is before the copy/paste/cut. But I do like the more options because it hides the stuff that I rarely use. But I would like to choose what it is or isn't hiding. That would make it better.
