CPU Temperature

AMD 2200+ Palomino:

idle temp around 46?C

load temp around 55?C

i used Volcano 9, but it sucked!!! loud and its cooling wasn't good, so i replaced it.

what about new amd processors? do they also have that temperatures, or are they below.. i don't know, around 40?C load?

~ 34 degrees standard Windows Operations

and about

~ < 45 degrees when playing 3D Games or rendering.

I have 1.3 GHz Duron, idle temp 38-41, load 43-45 degrees.

mine runs at around 31 or so idle and about 38 -40 load.... u can run mine without a fan or even a heatsink.. even though i wouldnt... i know because ive tried one of the same processors and it will run without it and not get too hot.. oh well :)

All are speed controlled by either the Asus A7N8X Deluxe mobo or the Zalman fan controls I have. I can reduce the temp another 10 deg. celcius, but I probably gain another 10db. Right now everything runs extremely quiet.

going above 60'C at full load and above 50'C idle is too high.

you are risking stability problems and damaging your cpu

Mines around 54 when idle. It's been like this for almost 2 years. It still works fine and i have no major stability issues. I'm not worrying about damaging it as its only a 1.4Ghz athlon which is worth so little these days so it'll be cheap to replace if anything did go wrong.

EDIT - Well, if I have this program installed right, the sensors say 32F (no idea what it is C).

Being that my computer is in a room with no a/c so i would say about 90 degrees

Had the computer on for a couple of hours surfing the Internet and AIDA32 informs me that my CPU temp is 31 %C.

I've a Celeron 2GHz with retail heatsink/fan.
