GT5 Slipping to late fall?

No, GT5 has been marketed as 70 unique tracks.

From what we have seen, that is only as accurate as the marketing department makes it. We have already seen that of those unique 70 tracks, they have already divided up the ring into multiple tracks (similar to FM3 has done). PD and Turn 10 both pull the wool over your eyes with "in game footage" and "unique, X variation, unique". Yet it's never that clear cut. Turn 10 says they have 134 unique track variations as well, but we all know that is BS too.

There was an interview or something discussing a shop to buy parts for your cars, possibly change engines between providers, tune and for some cars add things like skirtings and spoilers.

Yup, we are aware of that. But we haven't had the details on the depth. What manufacturers, how many choices of each, which cars support AWD swaps, which cars support cross manufacturer engine swaps, branding and number of shocks, sway bars, brakes, skirts, spoilers, spark plugs, turbo chargers, intercoolers, flywheels, spark plug wires, tires, wheels, tread width choices, wheel optional dimensions, weight reduction choices, etc.

We have yet to see any of those features and the breadth of those features announced.
