If it is firewalled then there is probably no official way to do it. I'd be surprised if they don't have webmail or something though.

Ofcourse you could use Hamachi or another VPN solution to tunnel through and get access to Exchange but this probably isn't a good idea

I work for a company that I only have access to Microsoft Exchange using outlook but within the company network. I am wondering if my Microsoft Exchange email account can be accessed for example from my house? It will make my life more easy. Thank you!

If it's using Outlook Web Access or RPC over HTTP, then yes. Both of those scenarios will allow you to connect from your house.

They have Outlook Web Access but I had never have good luck accessing with my credentials. I think my access is limited to Outlook within the company network.

'They have Outlook Web Access but I had never have good luck accessing with my credentials."

Here's an idea -- why don't you ask them ;)

How are we suppose to know what access your company has provided for remote access. You don't even mention the company - so some other users here that might work for the same company could answer if they have remote access or not.

As already stated, there is OWA, and there is also the rpc over http method, or you could vpn into your network, etc. There are many ways that a company can allow access to your email while your away from the company.. But if you having ?s or issues with it - I would highly suggest you ask your company IT how you can access your email from home.

With your credentials logging into OWA you might have to put in your domain\username or you could try using your smtp address. Do you know what domain you login with when at work?

Thanks for the suggestion Budman, the company name is ellsworthllc.com, I will try to ask about it. I thought it will be easy but apparently I am only limited to use the email within the company network.

Yeah seems they are running a OLD exchange box as well - you can hit their 2003 owa here

http://ellsworthllc.com/exchange

Try your stmp address vs domain\username

ie [email protected] vs ellsworthllc\cabron

Those are just examples of what it could be.

Verify what you domain is -- when we rolled out owa years and years ago.. Found out that users had no freaking clue what domain they were in, even though they logged into every single day on their computers
