Return Game

So I have a video game that was a Christmas gift that I wish to return. The problem is I do not have a receipt and I am not sure of where they got it. The game is unopened. Is there any store in the eastern pennsylvania region that anyone knows of that would at least give me full store credit for the game so that I can get another one? I am not sure where to go or if there is anywhere that I can go to do this...

Doubtful. Software is tricky enough to return let alone get full credit for it without a slip. Ebay FTW

As long as it is sealed you might simply be able to tell Wal-Mart that you bought it with cash and wish to return it.

I'll get less than what it's selling for in the stores if I end up selling it on ebay...

Sealed = Easy mode

Most stores will accept an even exchange if it's still sealed. Just go to Walmart or Target and say you got it for your birthday but already have it or whatever excuse you want.

The bigger the chain the easier it is to return. Back in the day I found a PS2 sitting in the box with everything in it on a sidewalk at my school. I was staying there late. Turned out it was broken and wouldn't read discs. However, we went to Walmart and exchanged it for a brand new PS2.

Wal-Mart has a very lenient return policy. My friend even returned an opened XBOX 360 a year after he bought it.

Most stores won't able to give you a refund if you don't have a receipt - especially if it was paid for with cash (Since lookups can be a lot easier with card details). It's almost impossible to search for a transaction if it's cash since theres not really unique identifier.

But you can try, I guess.

Most won't give you a refund, yes. But they WILL give you store credit or just do a swap for a different game provided it's unopened.

Yeah. All I really need is store credit to get a different game. Not looking to get cash back cause I would end up using it on the other game anyway lol.
