Remote Mouse (Clicker) for Presentation - Multiple Receivers?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

The company that I work for will be presenting at an exhibiton and have asked if it's possible to use a single remote mouse (or clicker) to control the slides on 3 different machines.

Each PC will have a different presentation on it, but the slides must change in sync when the presenter clicks.

What's the best way to achieve this? Are there devices out there will support multiple receivers?

Thanks in advance,

Will

This 'could' be achieved using Apple Macbook's and the standard IR Remote control, as long as they're all in visual range. Seeing how the remotes are generic, they can end up controlling devices simultaneously.

What I would do is: get a PC that supports 3 displays at the same time. (Matrox TripleHead solution, or something with ATi EyeFinity) and then use OfficeOne PowerShow (addin for Powerpoint) to sync the Powerpoints.

It requires some setup but should be a very reliable solution once you get it right.

Remotes are paired with laptops, I doubt this can be done...

You can pair up a remote with several laptops at the same time indeed. This would also be a solution.
