How about the dependencies? The audio system relies on a few, were you messing around with the services disabling stuff? Windows Audio, Multimedia Class Scheduler, and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder should all be on automatic. They also rely on PnP and RPC, but if you've got those disabled you're probably experiencing bigger issues than no audio. You should also have a running task under the Task Scheduler, SystemSound under Multimedia.

Yea, not only isn't it active, its not even registered anymore.. Multimedia Class Scheduler is a dependency and it's gone. (Image #2)

Is the file "\Windows\System32\mmcss.dll" present? And do you have some registry entries under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MMCSS ?

Edit:

Noticing that you're missing Remote Procedure Call and Plug and Play as well.. RPC is a rather vital service for Windows to even run. Aside from disabling stuff, did you run some sort of "tweaker" that actually removed services?

here's the result ..

No, I just have installed a fresh Windows 7 .. installed the latest drivers for videocard (10.2 catalyst) and after that I have disabled some services .. tried to install Creative Sound Blaster audio driver 1.04.0090 and the result is ..

what is also strange is that these updates appear with this date (& probably applied) even I never updated windows ..

Completely disregard what I said above, didn't notice the sorting that you had on the services.. they're not missing, just a brain fart on my end. (Serves me right trying to think before I've had my coffee.)

Hit your event log, it should tell you why the audio service isn't starting. Is the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder service able to start? (Force it from the services control, see what happens, if not, check the log to see why it's not.)

I'll reinstall it once again if needed but :

1. what drivers are recommended under windows 7 ultimate for creative audigy se ?

2. why those updates appear if I didn't touch it ? (update service is disabled/unplugging the internet cable while installing will do the job ?)

3. which services can be safely disabled/stopped?

Thanks a lot for detailed suppport !
