As a character I had tons of respect for Ned Stark but dear God he is f**king naive! How he is going about his business is akin to sticking to fighting with swords while your enemies lock and load their AK47's and you refuse to change because of honour and all that which is valiant but how long before that gets your ass killed? Incredibly frustrating to watch him get chumped week in week out

Gotta wait a week longer now for the eighth episode, gonna feel like ages.

This ep was just bloody brilliant. What's the guys name who swore to Kat that he'd help Ned?

That's Lord Petyr (Littlefinger).

I suspect episode 8 will be on advance preview on HBO GO next week as well.

I feel HBO might be shooting themselves in the feet previewing episodes like that...ratings were down this week and I bet next week as well...this ruined Dexter's ratings as well when they sent those tv critics episodes in advance and they inevitably get leaked.

I've been reading the book, staying ahead of the TV episodes. I loved how the TV version did the "gold crown for a king" sequence. Brilliant stuff.

I'm getting a lot of people at work that are enjoying the show, which is good. This deserves the attention just for the production alone. I'm becoming a huge fan of Tyrian Lannister, the "Imp". Peter Dinklage is fantastic for the role.

I also been loving his work, but the credit also goes for the writers who made him the way he is.

Don't know why, but i also like that guy who has been following the targarians and the horde.

he's ****ed :D but Khal will clean house :D

nice lesbian scene there ;)

Khal is awesome can't wait for him to own Goldie locks and family

Holy crap, every episode is better than the last! I did not see that coming - I want more!!

+1 they are really ramping up the pace, can't wait for some epic battles.

Hmmm, anyone know where I can get the books? I want them in hard back/cover. Had a quick look on Amazon and didn't find anything. I'd want to buy directly from Amazon not one of those 3rd party sellers.

Book 1 - http://www.amazon.com/Game-Thrones-Song-Fire-Book/dp/0553103547/ref=tmm_hrd_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1306802695&sr=8-1

Book 2 - http://www.amazon.com/Clash-Kings-Song-Fire-Book/dp/0553108034/ref=tmm_hrd_title_0

Book 3 - http://www.amazon.com/Storm-Swords-Song-Fire-Book/dp/0553106635/ref=tmm_hrd_title_0

All in hardcover. You can select which version/format you want in the middle box. Though that's for the US amazon.

when i first watched the pilot episode, i thought "meh, this is just hype..", but the episodes have been getting better and better

same! infact you can find my posts in the back archives of this thread and it will be where I call she show slow but I take it back its a highlight of the week

Apart from I'm in the UK you noob! Turns out they stopped hardback prints a while back in the UK. Only paperbacks, which is kinda gay. I'm gonna wait, I guess with the renewed popularity thanks to the TV series we will definitely see a re-print I reckon.

    • Nvidia GeForce NOW gains support for seven more games as discounts continue by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe There's a brand-new update rolling out to Nvidia's GeForce NOW streaming service, and like every week, that means more games have received support on the platform. This week's drop has additions like Aphelion and Pro Cycling Manager 26 attached to it. Don't forget that the GeForce NOW summer sale is still active too. This limited-time offer drops the 12-month Performance membership from $99.99 to $64.99, saving members $35. At the same time, the 12-month Ultimate membership is currently going for $129.99, dropping the price by $70 from the original $199.99. Moreover, Nvidia reiterated that support for GOG single sign-in and game library is incoming this summer, joining stores like Steam, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, and Xbox. "Connect supported game store accounts and stream titles with GeForce RTX power. Games that include cloud-save functionality help keep progress intact across devices," added the company. "Start a game on one screen, pick up where playtime left off on another, and spend less time managing installs and storage space." Here are the games joining GeForce NOW's supported list this week: Embers of the Uncrowned Demo (New release on Steam, available 13) Pro Cycling Manager 26 (New release on Steam, available June 15) Aphelion (Steam) Citizen Sleeper (Epic Game Store, Free from June 18-25) Megastore Simulator (Steam) OPERATOR (Steam) Super Meat Boy 3D (Xbox, available on Game Pass) Keep in mind that, unlike subscription services like Game Pass or EA Play, a copy of a game must be owned by the GeForce NOW member (or at least have a license via PC Game Pass) to start playing via Nvidia's cloud servers. There is also a limit to how many hours subscribers can use the service per month, with extra time being purchasable in chunks.
