NOOOOOOOO!!!! SEAN BEAN!!!!!!!!

I finished the episode just staring a the screen saying "No.... no!.....NO!.....NOOOO!!!"

surely now you must notice the sean bean trend ;) he never lasts long in shows/movies :p

Finale next week. Can't wait. I can then start reading the books (been in my "to-read" shelf for a while..).

Question to people who had read the books and are watching the series:

Do you think it's better to read the books first, or did reading the books kinda spoil the fun out of watching? (I didn't see the death coming, and was pleasantly surprised).

Honestly, I'd like to read the books as well. I inadvertently read some key elements of the book so some things (minor or major) about

the Khaleesi, Ned, Khal Drogo, Robb, Joffrey, Cersei and Arya have been spoiled for me

. I hope there are enough surprises left for me with the characters we know of now.

Regarding Ned...

Although Ned Stark was beheaded on the Sept of Baelor, it's not the last we've seen of Sean Bean. In fact, in the finale, two of his children will see him in a way you'd probably expect of television; a third, though, will have a shocking run-in with dear old Dad.

I read the books before (well I'm ~20% into the 3rd one atm) and I like the series, in the beginning it felt like I knew everything what was going to happen, but this show was just starting slow, now, with all the action nothing feels spoiled.

    • Remarkably based article from Garter - apparently there IS someone working there that actually understands mainframe systems.
