Awesome end though. White walkers, winter coming, and

dragons making their comeback

. Looks like a nice Ice vs Fire situation brewing.

oh of course she's cute...love her figure and her hair!

at least she's still alive for now :p

I love those eyes! She's nice with natural dark hair too, but that blonde hair with dark thick eyebrows and big blue eyes is just a killer combination.

A little charred, but alive. At least we know she can't be killed by that method!

What's not to love about a hot naked chick surrounded with dragons? All she needs now is an axe and a horse that's on fire

Come at me bro! :p

Yeah, but would it be better to read it after, you think?

Because then you get to learn more about the story, find out new stuff about the world, etc; instead of the other way around, where you read first, then finding out things have been left out because there wasn't enough time.

I've got the 4 books here just waiting. I'm going to start with the first, as soon as we get through the finale this week. I guess I'll decide after that, if I want to continue with the 2nd or wait out for season 2..

Not for me. I'm glad I finished the book before because there are things that happen with no explanation/differently than in the show. Besides, I got hooked on the book and couldn't put it down. Same with 'A Clash of Kings', I'm hooked. Can't imagine waiting a year to start it!

You will notice how in the book it didn't go down like that. He kills numerous people in that battle and sustains an injury to the arm when he gets hit by a morning star and knocked off his horse. In fact thus far Tyrion's strength and fighting prowess has been under represented, in the book he fights with an axe and splits many a head but I guess they decided to focus purely on his wit and ridicule his fighting ability.

Yes, I do know that. And I agree, Tyrion in the book is far better than the show due to the fact that we know he can fight. If someone only watched the TV show, they would come away thinking he's pretty much the pansy Lannister.

Ugg, I was really bummed today to find out that I had recorded every episode on my direct tv dvr, and 3 are missing. Weird, dont know how I am missing them, this seem to happen alot on my dvr for some reason. Does anyone know if or when they are going to replay the entire season?

I'm sure they will.

You can see them on HBO Go as well.

I'm only on episode 3, me and the girlfriend decided to instead of waiting between episodes to just not watch till they finish since it was a short run, though I managed to have what happened to

Ned spoiled for me, which was annoying, and equally devastating, though I've been told not to like any character too much as this is no typical fantasy story where the main characters survive till the end, lol.

Which leads me onto my question, I've wanted to get into the novels after watching the first few episodes, but how do the tv series and novels line up together?

The first season is named after the first novel, is everything that happens in it the complete line from the first book (ignoring things cut out going from book to tv), or is it just a part of it?

It's the full book.

HBO?s Game of Thrones has made its first casting hire for season 2:

Natalie Dormer, who memorably played the seductive and doomed Anne Boleyn on Showtime?s The Tudors, has been added to the fantasy drama?s regular cast.

Dormer will play Margaery Tyrell, a (minor spoiler alert)

beautiful and shrewd young woman from the influential House Tyrell. She?s pledged to marry the late King Robert?s brother, Renly Baratheon, as part of House Tyrell?s support for his bid to seize the Iron Throne from King Joffrey.

In addition to The Tudors (where, appropriately enough for joining the decapitation-filled Thrones, her character was beheaded) Dormer is also appearing in the upcoming Captain America.

I finally got around to watching the first episode and I enjoyed it up until the very end.

Why in the world were a brother and sister having sex? I forgot why I wasn't interested in this show in the first place until I saw that.

Anyway, I'm still going to watch the remaining episodes of season 1.

    • Maybe it's just my old-school soul talking, but I’ve always felt that games aren't 'real' games until they hit the PC. Leaving the PC community out at launch just doesn't sit right with me. That being said, I'm probably going to buy the PS5 just for the fun of trying it out.

    • Rockstar confirms Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders begin next week, unveils cover art by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The release date of Grand Theft Auto VI has moved quite a lot since its original announcement in 2023, but it finally looks like the game has found its final launch slot. Rockstar today had a new video upload on its YouTube channel, and while it wasn't a new trailer for the game, the company revealed two things. This was the pre-order kickoff date for Grand Theft Auto VI as well as the game's official cover art. The company revealed that June 25 is when fans of the series will be able to pre-order their copy of Grand Theft Auto VI. Pre-orders will be available both digitally and in retail stores. The newly unveiled cover art shows off the two new protagonists, as well as a few more characters that are probably vital to the campaign storyline. Shots of vehicles players can use like a light helicopter, motorcycle, sports car, and speed boat are also seen here, alongside a shot of a crocodile. "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them," says Rockstar describing the campaign's protagonist duo. "But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive." Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on November 19, 2026. A PC version has not been confirmed yet, though it's expected by many to land after the console release. When asked about this, the Take-Two CEO says it considers the core audience for the Grand Theft Auto franchise to be on consoles.
