Room empties, hmmm it got quiet quick. Door closes, ok somethings gonna happen. Cellist starts to play The Rains of Castomere, oh **** I know whats coming. And it was still amazing.

Really torn between reading the books and seeing how the show develops. Argggg.

What the ****. I've never been so shocked in my life.

At first, I was like...

And then, I was like...

I knew something was up when the doors closed. And when Catelyn Tully revealed the chain-mail under Roose Bolton's clothing. Even so, I thought Robb and Talisa Stark (and his mother) would get away. The shock hit me the hardest when Talisa was stabbed to death in her stomach. My goodness, I've never been this shocked even by Ned Stark's death at the end of season 1.

What they did to Robb's

body in the book is even more shocking.

Some idiot spoiled it for me a few months ago, I knew it was coming and it has had the same effect as if I had watched it not knowing.

I thought they were going to leave it till the last ep.

Same, I knew it was coming and they still managed to surprise me!

HOLY..... :o What an episode :D

Can't wait until episode 10 now and then season 04

Can't believe they killed them off :( What's going to happen now?

The remainder of book 3, which is going to be season 4 (not to mention if they decide to squeeze anything in from book 4) is more packed than this season, easily.

That would have been a terrible episode to leave viewers with till the next season. Better to have one more to give people a chance to digest it and maybe some hope. Go on hiatus with that as the last episode and I can see some viewers not coming back. Going on hiatus with

Talisa's death

and the rest as the last thing on viewers mind, not nice. I'm glad there's one more :/.

I think that she wasn't pregnant in the books? I've been told, cuz I havent read them. That was just a freebie from the showrunners I'm guessing.

1) Its not the same girl in the books. Its Jeyne Westerling in the books.

2) Jeyne Westerling does not attend the RW.

3) Jeyne Westerling does not die.

4) It is unknown if Jeyne was ever pregnant, but it is believed she was not.

The next season is going to be parts of books 3 and 4. They just announced casting for the 'new' characters from book 4.

I didn't like that the music wasn't terrible. That was a big part of the event from the novel. (The musicians were sellswords.)

Also: Did Brynden die? He also doesn't attend the RW in the novel.

Edit: Also, Rickon is growing like a weed. He's gonna be as big as Hodor next season.

1.

Yeah, I figure Kingsmoot's in. Preview for next week's episode has Asha Yara in it, I guess they're setting up the Iron Island storyline for next season.

2.

I didn't care about that. It's pretty clear they were sellswords anyway, and it could've been distracting if they kept the awful music.

3.

He went to take a leak. Presumably he's escaped. Actually quite certain of it, they've never killed off anyone who has further (important) involvement in the story.

Btw I hate the spoiler tags on this forum, why don't we use the expanded boxed ones? A fair warning, a semi-spoilerish image posted below (nothing really important)

When Dany asks about Daario:

Poor Jorah, I felt really bad for him.

Please be mindful of those that haven't seen the latest episode. I had to edit some post to add spoiler tags.

Uh, spoiler rules on neowin have ALWAYS been that if the episode has aired in the US, it doesn't need tags. Most of us still do it to be nice, but you're wrong here.

I think thats an important part - and its the first clue that Catelyn picks up on. The first clue that GRRM dropped to the reader.

3.

You're right, I forgot that line. He must have swam to safety.

BOOK SPOILERS / TV SPECULATION

Will she return as Lady Stoneheart?, not sure on the whole thing just heard some stuff on Twitter about this character

Rappy stop spoiling stuff for yourself!

Anyway, fans are speculating it might happen next episode as it's titled "Mhysa" which is mother in High Valyrian. So far all the episodes had multiple meanings (Kissed By Fire referring to both Ygritte/Jon and Beric/The Hound etc) so it holds some weight. We'll see in a week.

Yeah, but even Cat is commenting more on the horrible sound than she is picking up anything. Either way, when they start playing Rains is where it's at.

3.

Haha, yeah.

    • >defenders of AI-generated artworks often claim that AI is just a tool It is not. It is the inhuman artist replacement. The human writing the prompt is the employer/manager requesting the work product of the artist -- a supervisory/descriptive job that doesn't carry with it any rights to the copyright of that work product at all. And since AI is not human itself, it can't gain copyright for anything it is asked to regurgitate or hallucinate, so it can't transfer that copyright to the employer/manager/human who asked for the output. This was all legally reaffirmed last year. So, no, while there are AI tools, AI slopware generation is NOT a "tool" in the legal definition of that word.

    • Google is opening the world's first AI museum in Los Angeles by Ivan Jenic Image via: Google Ever since AI image generators went mainstream, the debate over whether AI-generated art is real art hasn't let up. Those who don’t consider AI to be art say that if a machine does the creating and anyone can prompt it, there’s no skill involved, and therefore no art is produced. The counter-argument is equally persistent, as defenders of AI-generated artworks often claim that AI is just a tool, and that every major technological breakthrough, like the camera or the computer, was met with the same skepticism before eventually being accepted as a legitimate creative medium. Google’s position in this debate is clear. Which is no surprise, as the company is investing billions in AI infrastructure. And now, in efforts to encourage people to use its AI even more, Google is opening Dataland on June 20, which it's calling the world's first AI arts museum. Located inside The Grand LA, a Frank Gehry-designed building in Los Angeles, the museum spans 25,000 square feet. The museum is built around a collaboration with media artist Refik Anadol, who has worked with Google since 2016. The inaugural exhibition is called Machine Dreams: Rainforest, and is powered by an AI model trained on “an extensive dataset of the natural world.” It generates 1.2 billion pixels of visuals in real time and reacts to visitors dynamically. The space also generates soundscapes, real-time emotion sensing, and algorithmically produced scents. Image via: Refik Anadol Studio / Google Google says that the museum is powered by its Gemini models, which run on Google Cloud. So, everything is generated inside one of Google’s AI data centers and is streamed to the museum. Alongside the museum opening, Google Arts & Culture is funding an AI Artist Residency, giving four artists $25,000 grants each, along with mentorship from Refik Anadol Studio and access to Google's machine learning tools. Their work will be shown at Dataland and on the Google Arts & Culture website later this year. Google’s AI museum will undoubtedly initiate a fired-up debate on social media, and we can’t wait to see the first reactions. Via: Smithsonian Magazine
    • Calling GTA 6 overhyped crap doesn’t make you edgy, it just makes you sound like someone who hasn’t enjoyed anything since the PS2 era.
    • I’m not arguing whether Rockstar likes money. Obviously, they do, they’re a business. I’m saying this isn’t new. They’ve always launched console first. This is just how Rockstar operates.
