Good episode. With so much going on, 10 episodes is simply not enough.

Totally underwhelming season finale aside from a good scene fo vengeance at a campfire. Really the whole season was kind of boring because there is so much going on. They need probably 20 episodes instead of 10.

Better to end at lower key episode then at a climax.

Why? It seems like the show is building and building and nothing happens. I at least wanted a little more climax than we got.

I had a feeling the finale would be slower paced than last week, but I liked it (Y)

Set up a lot of good storylines for next season's opener, and leaves a lot of questions for those who haven't read the book, for me what happens with John Snow & Ygritte? Is there more Dragon Glass. Daenerys is getting pretty powerful, where's that going and how soon? When will see an end to the irritating Geoffrey? Going after Daddy Lannister hinted that he may be pressing his luck. This kid is a great actor, just seeing him irritates me. Nice wind down and setup from the shocking Red Wedding, well done if you ask me.

I can't wait anymore. I flew through a couple hundred pages to finish off GoT and started ACOK last night. This whole 10 month wait is killing me. I feel like I'm pulled away from my friends when in between seasons.

TBH I'm considering hitting the books, it is taking a long time to see some of my favorite lines progress, but that just means the stuff is good.

One thing bugged me in the last episode..

Samwell ran away and dropped the dragon glass spear head, then turned up at the wall with gazillions of weapons

Was this explained in the book that he collected more cause I've only just about finished the first book and need to do a hell of a lot of catching up.

I was actually wondering why he didn't go back and pick it up after killing the walker.

I thought the exact same thing.

I would have honestly preferred that last episode to be the season ender. This episode did nothing for me. I think it's finally time to hit the books, I just can't wait any longer.

GRRM was recently interviewed at ConQuest in Kansas City and gave us some casting nuggets...

"Auditions are being held now for season 4 ? including Styr the Magnar of Thenn, Mace Tyrell and OBERYN MARTELL!"

According to the Shepperd-Fox Theatrical Agency, Andy Beckwith will ?shortly begin shooting the fourth season,? resuming the role of Rorge. Rorge was last seen at Harrenhal, in the season two episode ?The Prince of Winterfell? when Arya was searching for Jaqen H?ghar.

Kate Dickie is confirmed to be filming this year by her representation, Hunwick Hughes, who also mention Daniel Portman?s expected return as Pod Payne in the same news section. Dickie was reported to be filming last year as well for season three and it is believed that scenes involving her character Lysa Arryn were cut before airing.

And finally, sources have unofficially confirmed for WiC that Dominic Carter will be returning in season four as Janos Slynt, the former Commander of the City Watch who was forced into the Night?s Watch by Tyrion in season two.

We had heard rumors about this, but the CEO of Pegasus, the Icelandic production company that has handled the Thrones shoot for the past two seasons, has now confirmed it: Game of Thrones will be returning to film in Iceland for the third year in a row. Only this time they will be filming in the summer (late July, to be exact), not the winter.

Pegasus?s CEO, Snorri ??risson, goes on to say that the filming will be of a similar scope, with 100-200 people involved in the production. He doesn?t give away any exact filming locations, but says they will be working in the south of the country. He also mentions that they?ve recently put out a casting call for 20 bald extras.

Entertainment Weekly report that Prince Oberyn Martell will be played by Pedro Pascal on the next season of HBO's Game Of Thrones. The Chilean actor has previously appeared in the likes of CBS? The Good Wife, ABC?s Red Widow and USA?s Graceland. For those unfamiliar with the character, Oberyn is a member of the Martell family of Dorne, and he and his kin will play a major role in the events of the fourth season. The Prince is charming, cunning and very dangerous, earning him the nicname "The Red Viper". "This was a tough one,? showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss reveal to EW. ?The Red Viper is sexy and charming, yet believably dangerous; intensely likable, yet driven by hate. The boys love him, the girls love him, and he loves them all back. Unless your last name is Lannister. We found a fellow who can handle the job description and make it seem effortless. He wasn?t easy to find and he won?t be easy to stop.?
