I think Arya was laughing at The Hound's misfortune. His "return Arya to relatives and get paid plan" fails again.

As for the episode overall, I also found it mostly boring. The endless (probably ad libbed) beetle discussion was the main culprit.

+1 seems to me she was laughing at the hounds misfortune.

Having read the books, I couldn't give a toss about the majority of the filler, but humour me, what's the mind shattering message of that scene?

Nothing mind shattering, but he felt like he was a beetle and Cersei or Tywin or the Mountain or the Gods were his mentally challenged cousin pounding on him.

Thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately, it's not something that Tyrion hasn't expressed in other ways before, including his "I'm on trial because I'm a dwarf" speech. In another context maybe I would have paid more attention, but I, and probably others, would have preferred that they had used the filler's time on the battle.

The battle was perfectly paced imo, I don't know what people expected, half an episode for it? It doesn't overstay its welcome, and it makes it pretty shocking once the

headsmashing

happens.

The only thing I didn't really like was Alayne/Sansa reveal at the end, felt rushed and corny.

That whole scene was pretty ludicrous IMO. No one, no matter how strong they are, can crush a man's skull using just their hands. Especially with those pudgy fingers. It's not an egg FFS. Also, the CG in the last shot is pretty apparent.

Twice as long would have been just fine. Before Oberyn could close on Gregor, he had to tire him, and he did, but it happened too fast. He's The Mountain, not some skinny chain smoker in plate armour that runs out of breath after a few swings. If that's how long his stamina lasts, how the hell is he still alive after all the battles that took more than 5 minutes.

Unlike the book Sansa, she's basically screaming "Look at me, I'm Sansa Stark! Look! Look!" to anyone she sees. I think every single person she's talked to, apart from Robin, knows her real identity. So much for keeping a low profile.

dude, the Mountain cut a horse in half bruh he can do it all

It's fantasy.. step back and don't over-analyze, otherwise the dragons and zombies may disappear in a puff of logic too.

No.

It was that killing is the way of Westeros. And Tyrion wasn't made for it.

Oh, I thought it meant the Mountain was a big retard that liked smashing things smaller than him. Just cuz that's what he does. Wait, that's kind of what you said too. :/

The fight was going great, and then... why!!!

+1 that ending was quite silly, unexpected, but silly.

A more suitable ending would have been that the current king say "Ok, Oberyn won, I decree that you still gon die mofo".

Did he die the same way in the books?

Yes,  he died pretty much as they described it in the books.  However, Oberyn didn't win as it was a duel to the death, and Gregor was the last man standing breathing. For now.. they called Oberyn "The Red Viper" for a reason...

Not the same, but close enough.

"Despite his enormous physical disadvantage, Oberyn manages to wound Clegane several times and cripple him by finding chinks in his armour and severing his hamstring. As Oberyn prolongs Gregor's death, trying to wring a murder confession from him, the prostrated Clegane manages to grab hold of Oberyn and smash his armoured fist into Oberyn's face, killing him: dashing out his brains after first destroying his teeth and knocking out his eyes." (taken form the ASOIAF wiki)

Tommen still a child preoccupied with his kittens, especially in the books where he's even younger.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
    • Microsoft, totally not confusing /s 25H2 - Current for non-Arm based Windows 26H1 - Current for Arm based Windows 26H2 - Only for non Arm Windows
    • After I installed those, my older but capable Win 11 laptop (16GB RAM) reported it as 26H2 26300.8697. Then I installed it on my big laptop (128GB RAM! Hehe sorry), it reported it as 25H2 26220.8690. Ugh. Do I have to switch Insiders channels from Release to Beta?
