Last night's episode was really great. Tyrion and Daenerys' conversation was good. Seeing Cersei get ladled, after all of the crap she has done, felt sooo good. And of course the white walker attack at the end of the episode. Although the fighting in that scene suffered a little too much from Bourne syndrome, it was still good.

That last scene where the white walker raises his arms and you see, from John's perspective with no cutaways, the dead wildlings standing up was just epic. The no cutaway part was important in my opinion. I think seeing it like that, from the boat, made it feel incredibly real and ominous. Just a great end to the episode.

Side note: anyone else really sad that the Wildling woman died? (the one that was in the meeting with John, and who put her two kids on a boat) I wanted to see more of her.  :woot:  :/

My favourite moment of the season! Given her cousin is squealing on her does he or anyone else know the children aren't related to Robert?

That's a good question. I want to say no, because if they did know then wouldn't they be going after Tomin (spelling?) knowing that he's not a true heir to Robert? I think they just know she and Jamie were a thing, which is enough I guess.

I removed any emotions I had for that character the second she put her kids on the Boat and told them she'd come later. Also, she was far too nice for a wildling. I don't fall for that cheap and easy emotional attachment to make me care when they die crap. At that point I just wanted her to die to confirm my suspicions lol.

Agreed. I was fully expecting her to die as well, but I'm sad because she was nice to look at.  :shifty:

The whole battle and especially the white walker raising his arms at the end was so freaking epic. More well done that most movies. Can't wait for Sunday. I'm sure we all know that everything will come to a head then we'll have to wait for S6.

Good episode except I was really dissapointed with the White Walkers. They were just typical dumb zombies except those white ones. :/

White Walkers are the icy white dudes. They have the ability to raise the dead and command them, and those guys are pretty much the regular zombies, also known as just 'the undead' or 'wights' in the show.

Is this how they appear in the books?

Pretty much, but there's a difference between the mindless zombies (wights) and the intelligent ice bros (White Walkers).

Oh, I didn't know that. I haven't read the books and thought from previous seasons that they can raise the dead and they become White Walkers and there are army of those coming.

without being spoilerish... everyone on teh interwebs is saying they just finished books 5 in some plots... how will this affect the following season being that george hasn't published 6 ?

The show will deviate, sometimes heavily, from the books now.  George gave them an outline of roughly how to continue it though to stay somewhat close to the books he'll publish.  I'm hoping for book 6 sometime this year or next though.

Didn't she say she wasn't going to do anymore nude scenes? The walk of shame is coming for Lena Headey apparently.

Anyway, I thought the last episode was awesome. The attack of the White Walkers came a bit unexpected and fast too after moving so slowly these past seasons.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
    • Microsoft, totally not confusing /s 25H2 - Current for non-Arm based Windows 26H1 - Current for Arm based Windows 26H2 - Only for non Arm Windows
    • After I installed those, my older but capable Win 11 laptop (16GB RAM) reported it as 26H2 26300.8697. Then I installed it on my big laptop (128GB RAM! Hehe sorry), it reported it as 25H2 26220.8690. Ugh. Do I have to switch Insiders channels from Release to Beta?
