Hey all I've been having this semi-annoying problem for a while now and havnt really found a solution or a reason why its happening and was wondering if anybody had any reason why/whats wrong.

When i try to launch to certain software, most notably 3D Studio Max 2010 / Maya 2009 I get this error message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000043)", I press ok then try to load up the software again and it works fine. If I restart the computer and go to run the software again i will get the same error the first time but then it will work the second time. Its not a really dire issue it can just get a little irritating at times.

Im running Windows 7 Professional 64bit and the software is also 64bit too.

The 43 error refers to sharing access violation... or incompatible sharing.

I've looked all over for ways to fix this and can't really find anything, however two people fixed theirs by either upgrading to .NET 4 framework (beta) or not overcloking the CPU (??? i don't know why that would help).

What about running these programs in compatible mode?

Thanks, took me a while to reply but what you said helped, I updated all my .net framework stuff and the visual c redist packages etc, it has been working fine for the past month after doing this. So im guessing it was something to do with this or just totally random fix that i guess can sometimes happen

Funny enough I was looking for a solution to a problem that I had with a version of AutoCAD that I had installed on Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit, I solved the problem by installing the .NET 4 Framework on the PC. I also saw people talking about the overclocking issue! As you said in your post, I am also not really sure why this would cause problems, but I am certain that there would be many explanations!

Edit: I see that this is a pretty old thread, but thought that it was a rather interesting scenario for someone who perhaps has run into the same problem!

Hai, there see if this could help.

The solution is to totally disable System Restore, reboot, then

reenable it. This will lose all existing restore points, but should get it

working again. Start/run services.msc, locate the SR service and doubleclick

it. Click the stop button, then set the startup type dropdown to disabled.

Click apply/ok, then reboot. Reverse the steps to restart it.

All the best :)
