I think my first platinum star is going to my M416. That gun just owns! The second will probably go to the AN-94 or T88 LMG.

Started getting back into this game now. Back to loving it...for now (Y)

Yea I got my first platinum star yesterday and it was for the M416. Working on the AN-94 now, still about 800 to go

Just got back into playing this game. What the heck is up with the chat box? It just amazes me that someone feels proud on releasing that. When someone's message shows up or the server broadcasts something, the chat box expands down to the bottom of the screen for a split second and then leaves a faint blue overlay on the left half of the screen for a while. It's extremely annoying. I really hope they fix it soon but I've heard it's been like this for a while.

I do pretty well with it. And I'm not your typical sniper hanging out around the first spawn trying to get kills. I'm usually pushing objectives. I've got platinum for Gol and the M-24 now, so maybe next I'll work on the M95. I think mine has 3 or 4 gold stars... it's just so damn slow and looks funny.

Seriously, trag3dy... the M24 is the worst sniper rifle in the game. I'm somewhat shocked that you actually got a 1000 kills with it. :|

Not at all, M95 is much worse, SV98, although it reloads fast and has 10 bullets in magazine, has a bad scope and the semi-automatics are crap. So, no, M24 is quite good. Mind you, I use bolt-actions rarely, I prefer the VSS.

Same here, minus the doing well with it part. I absolutely hate the M24. I used to like, especially in the beta but it turned into a weak sniper rifle (in my opinion, of course). I find the M95 to be a much better sniper rifle. Most of the time, you could easily land one-shot kills.

I don't know about the SV98 as I rarely use it but compared to the M95, the M24 is utter crap (for me). I get so many kills per round with the M95, most of them being one-shot kills. I guess it's just a matter of preference. I used to strongly dislike the GOL but it turned out to be even better than the M95. The thing has almost no bullet-drop which is awesome.

Hmm, no problems here. The chat box is just a small one in the top left corner of the screen, it only shows 3 or 4 lines.

It's not that it doesn't have bullet drop, it's that it doesn't have any sway. Literally 0 sway in comparison to both the M95 and M24. The devs have said that all guns have exactly the same bullet drop. Of course it would be to much to ask for of them to create different bullet drops for the different caliber bullets/guns...

The Gol is my favorite rifle, too.

I guess I should say "no noticeable bullet drop". With the M95, I could see my bullet fly through the air and hit my target (9 out of 10 times). With the GOL, it feels as if my bullet goes straight ahead. By the way, what do you mean by sway?

Apparently two new maps mode packs are being released tomorrow (the 28th). White Pass rush and Nelson Bay conquest I think. I'm pretty certain they'll be out for the consoles but not sure about the pc.

It's been confirmed.. the pack is coming out for all systems on Wednesday.

Ugh, want to get back into this game but it's too much of a system hog, I can run MW2, TF2 and CS:S all on medium/high (CS on max obviously) while with BC2 I have to run it in Dx9 and lowest settings...

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
