I'm trying to get platinum for my last assault gun.. the F2000, and my god that gun sucks. It has a really high fire rate but other than that it's damage is pitiful. It's easier to get kills with pistols than the F2000.

Oh and my new favorite thing to do is to kill people with the smoke grenade, it's awesome.

Haha, I remember when I first unlocked that gun. I was so excited, thinking to myself "OMG the gun from Splinter Cell!!". Then I tried to use it. I usually empty the entire clip before the enemy has lost even half of his health.

Yeah, I don't know how they can make it better though, if they give it more damage it will be op. Given up on it for the time being in any case. Sometimes I can get kills really easily with it, other times.. not so much. :wacko:

What happened to the +30 bonus on a long distance kill in the beta? I've just noticed that it didn't make retail.

It has. You only get it when you kill some one that is over 100 meters away with a headshot. I'm pretty sure it can only happen on recon, too.

You actually cannot get a bronze star with the smoke launcher, just like the tracer or power wrench. Sucks because months after release you still cannot get the 'get all bronzes on weapons medal or the 'get all bronzes' medal, likely because it's counting the tracer as a needed weapon for bronze.

No it's counting the dlc weapons that haven't been released yet. Gadgets aren't required as far as I know to get those pins/badges.

I used to see that bonus during the PC beta all the time playing as Medic or Assault. Haven't seen it once on 360 retail.

Only recons can get the marksman headshot bonus. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that class can get it with any weapon, not only a sniper rifle.

you can get it with other guns but it is very very hard. i have got it a couple of times with rifle and auto shotty but i got like +3 or +8...nothing high compared to sniper rifle.

He's aimbotting most likely. The fact that he's only rank 10.. yeah.. It's possible he's legit but I really doubt it.

I also read DICE are helping out with NFS Hot Pursuit now ... Christ they must be stretched so thin :blink:

I have no hope at this point that BF3 will be the game everyone is wanting it to be. Sad because they could make a lot of pc players happy if they do it right but they're being so half assed with all their current games..

Just thought I'd post this. If anyone here is using GTX 480, SLI 480, Tri-SLI 480 or Quad-SLI 480's on this game and you are having a stutter issue (framerate stays constant but every 10 seconds or so its like the game skips a frame) then once the game is open go to Task Manager and right click on the Bf2.exe process and select 'Set Affinity' and uncheck all but 3 of your processor threads. If you have a Core i7 you should have 8 threads listed, uncheck 5 of them. This will make the game run smooth again until NVIDIA and EA sort the issue out. Not everyone with the above setup is affected but some are.

ATi cards, GTX 200, 9xxx 8xxx and below series are unaffected.

Not quite what you said but I have a gtx 470 and have no stuttering issues. Latest drivers, too.
