I don't like the feel of weapon in BF:BC2, they just sounds like water-gun. I have both BF:BC2, COD:MW and COD:Black Ops but I just prefer COD. IMO, COD has the most realistic feels of all the FPS games out there...

umad? Granted, I haven't played CoD MP, but I have tried its SP and the feel of the guns and their sounds made sick. But each to their own I guess.

Hell, there are many reasons to bash this game, but it definitely isn't its sound. :D

It saddens me that the best and easiest strategy in this game to get a victory is to spam explosives. I've said it since the start, all that's needed to win this game is engineers and a few medics to get chain revives going. It's really irritating, especially since I rarely play engineer and never play medic. I don't mean using c4 or mines to kill mcoms I just mean in general to get kills and quickly clear maps. Call it QQing or whatever you want but no one can deny that it's true. While this applies to most fps games it's even more apparent in BC2 because it destroys buildings and cover.

That being said, I'm still surprised that after about 10 months people still think sniping from spawn is a good strategy (using the term loosely here). I really don't get it.

That's my whiny post for today, I got fed up with these things in the games I've played this week.

:wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko:

Tried Harvest Day before for 2 matches, is pretty good. They're HUGE though, a lot bigger than any of the other maps, but that's not a bad thing. Yet to try out the other 2. I'll definitely be getting Vietnam.

@trag3dy

I can agree that explosive spam is annoying, but I have said this before and will say again - if defenders allow someone to C4/mine MCOMs, they have failed. Especially now that it takes more explosive to kill an MCOM.

Regarding my QQ of today - WHY THE **** DOES NO ONE SPOT?! FFS IT'S NOT LIKE THE GAME HAS BEEN JUST RELEASED. JESUS.

I'm not talking about c4ing the mcoms, if your team lets people get close enough to lay down enough c4 or mines to destroy an mcom they didn't deserve to win anyways. Read my post again. It's using explosives as primary weapons that bugs the **** out of me especially on smaller maps. Why bother aiming when you can sit on an ammo crate and spam grenades or the cg and whoever wins is whoever spams them the most. Like I said, it's irritating that this "strategy" can be used to effectively win 90% of the games. And then the real kicker is when people talk **** after the win when they didn't do anything but spam grenades. :angry:

I agree that people who use nothing but the gustav are lame, but What I hate even more is overzealous server admins that kick you every time you kill infantry with a rocket launcher. Restricting engineers to only using rockets on vehicles is retarded, there is no way to play engineer well if you don't have the freedom of killing infantry with the rocket launcher, using it similarly to how assault uses the nade launcher, killing people behind walls, killing groups of people ect... Its also very easy to run out of smg ammo so sometimes you gotta whip out the rocket launcher. I never use the gustav though, I stick to the good old rpg7 as its the most versatile. I use it with extra rockets and explosives damage upgrades, so its very good vs vehicles and can take out infantry well too.

I'm just getting back onto this game on the 360 with the new maps (love Harvest Day and Oasis) and preparing for the Vietnam expansion. I forgot how much better it is than CoD. Was in an excellent game on Oasis tonight where people were spotting and communicating, tanks were leveling buildings, and everything was working like a well oiled machine. Just awesome.

I don't know, can't really explain... In BF:BC2, the weapon doesn't have the boom as much as COD. Especially the AK and the M16, doesn't have the sharp sound as the bullets cut through the air when leaving the gun, it just feels less "real" IMO. Using the guns COD just made me feel like I am shooting a real gun.

Oh yeah, please don't think I am bashing BF:BC2 because I do own BF:BC2 and I still play it once a while. I think the maps for BF:BC2 is better than COD and the huge number of players allowed per game is a plus :)

@trag3dy

Ah, reread your post. Yes, it indeed can be very annoying but meh, it's in the game so why not use it. And since I've abused explosives before (and will still RL your ass if I run out of ammo/someone is behind a wall), I'm not qualified to QQ about them. :D

I find it quite amusing that the term AT4 noob is starting to creep up nowadays. Disregarding the fact that you basically have to ram the rocket down the throat of someone to kill him.

Does anyone know if your rank will continue while playing the Vietname expansion? It takes ages for me to rank up (don't play as much as you guys do) :p

I'm not sure if your rank carries from BC2 to Vietnam, but I know experience you gain in Vietnam carries over to BC2. So I guess it makes sense that it carries both ways.

My new complaint of the day for this game is that I can't seem to kill anyone anymore, or get clean kills. I shoot and shoot at people and I see blood, emptying clip after clip into them and nothing. But then, on the other hand I die at the slightest breeze, often while completely behind cover and not exposed. Or when I do manage to get a kill, the person I'm shooting at also manages to kill me at the same time though I was clearly a second or more ahead of him. It's so ****ing irritating. :angry:

So when I ordered my SPECACT kit from the EA store, I was one of the people it didn't work for and I had to contact their customer support to get it to work. And just now I got an email from them saying sorry for the problems and they gave me a code for %50 off any one item in the EA store and it works for pre orders. So I'm getting Vietnam for $7.49, I'm glad I put off pre ordering it.

I should have used it towards a more expensive game, but I already used the code before I thought to do that. :wacko:

Edit: Scratch that, it still works. Crysis 2 Nano Edition for 50% off. :woot:

Because the online ****storm of bugs would be even worse if they release it now?

Well they shouldn't have made everybody download it now, instead of having to patch it up more when it's released.

That sounds exactly like my games last night. I had a guy infront of me take two knife attacks and then shoot and kill me.

This game is epic... sometimes one great round alone is worth the full price tag, just some of the moments are like from a movie, and you're the star :laugh:

This is how I mostly find this game however, pure brilliance. I get so into the games, it's involving and exciting. The best multiplayer experience I've had in years. So glad I bought it.

Play Hardcode mode then, i got annoyed that you have to use up a full clip into someone, with HC mode its brilliant i only play HC now.

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
