Sam Worthington has predicted that there will be several Avatar films.

The actor, who played Jake Sully in the original movie, told Access Hollywood that director James Cameron will have high standards for the sequels.

"I'm starting to think we're going to do Avatar 3, 4, 5," he said.

"But that's the thing - we're only going to do it if Jim can find someone to challenge him because he's not the type of guy that just dives in lightly."

He added: "Jim will only do a movie if it's a challenge for him and if he can revolutionise something. I know with Jim, he has to find his personal challenge for it."

Worthington also revealed that he would love the chance to work with Cameron again.

He said: "I signed for a couple [of sequels] but I'll work with Jim for a bucket of fish!"

Legend :D

I love the concept of a series of Avatar films, but I hope it just doesn't turn out to be recycled crap film after film. I'm quite interested to see how they even start the second film, as the first was tied up quite nicely.

I AGREE... James Cameron is MOVIE KING! He will not make movies like any other directors, just because... He will only if he can Revolutionary movie making.

Bring it on 5-D Movies, :D :D :D

He might make another one and possibly a third but then Cameron will get bored and move on, much as he did with Terminator.

James Cameron is probably looking at Harry Potter and Star Wars and like Hmmm "If they CAN have 5+ movies, why not Avatar"

Terminator is another ball game, he may come back to it, but there isn't much variety with Terminator as there is with SW, HP and Avatar.

They did Liquid metal, and a female Terminator... what else can they do?

I can't even see avatar 2...

Unless it's something set in padora for it's sake...

I can. It turns out that he Na'vi aren't so peaceful and after their super tree was killed they wage a brutal war against one another over their next territory. Jake also finds out that the Na'vi kill all newborns who are born with a certain physical trait and they regularly sacrifice virgins to the planet whenever something did wrong. He also learns the women have no legal rights aside from those of the royal family and as such you can honor kill your wife if she doesn't cook you a good dinner. All is not well on Pandora.

That sounds oddly familiar....

I want Cameron to reboot/do another Alien movie damn it! But I guess with Avatar making twelve quadrillion dollars and all....

+1

Great, more movies without a storyline. Jimbo must be proud of how he's revolutionizing the movie business.

Yeah... But if it rakes in teh billions we will be flooded by avatar films ala Harrypotter/Twilight saga

I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel but prob should stop there, there are way too many movie franchises going into the "Friday the 13th/Nightmare on Elm Street" way of thinking about films...

Some movies make sense to have trilogy's and such because of the continued story but not this one so much... (No I'm not trolling just expressing my Opinion)

Nice trolling. Just shows how ignorant you are. You clearly don't know who Cameron is.

Elaborate. How does me not liking Avatar (or any of Cameron's movies) show that I'm ignorant and unaware of who Cameron is?

He have pushed movie technology for decades.

So what?

Not everyone wants to swallow the mainstream blockbuster crap being shoved down the public's throat (which is exactly what he's doing).

No way?! Who would have thought this is how you would react. Making a lot of money doesn't give him the crown of movie king..

Sorry this is just asking for this:

Hilarious :D Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode were Jerry makes an amazing bootleg.

    • For a guy who claims to hate Farage and the ignorant, gullible, rightwing racist skinheads sponsored by Putin that his lies represent, you sure are quoting them time and time and time again, mate. I guess you're conveniently ignoring the fact that your country and commonwealth just happened to work much better when it was still part of the E.U.? Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.
    • Do you live in the U.K? Do any of the people here that are against the UK leaving the E.U, live in the U.K? If not then why are you bothered? If you do live here then it is a different thing . Brexit was a good idea, should have done it years before, it was done badly, but the idea was good. You are saying the same thing as remainers do, oh we did what Putin wanted, we listened to the lies and Farage. I hate Farage and never believed most of what he said, certainly did not believe the £350m a week for the NHS. But we did pay a lot of money to the E.U and yes some of it came back, but what is the point of paying it out for only some of it to come back? Get out of the E.U, no money to them and in theory we can use the money to do things in the country. I said in theory, but our governments are a total and complete waste of space. No matter what colour rosette they wear. You and others say it was a mistake and yet the two main parties in the U.K are not looking at rejoining the EU, I wonder why that is? I was not tricked by anyone. Makes no odds now, we are out and have been for 10 years, what we need is a decent government to run the country. All they do is shout at each other like a load of kids and seems to do nothing and make this country more into a police and nanny state. Getting more like China all the time.

    • Yeah... The root of my comment, ostensibly, is how to spin the story via the actual technical merits of the solution! * Decentralized (aka federated) solution with built-in encrypted ephemeral message transport, * Transport via Relays (intermediary servers) with no message archival, * Second configurable pathway are actual email servers (if DNS records are programmed accordingly) via IMAP protocols carriage, * "Chat-over-Email" is the design pattern adopted; it can either leverage full-blown Email Server (must use the INBOX folder) to exchange all received messages/edits/reactions (so be weary of notifications overloads) [best practice is creating a separate email acct used explicitly for federated chat purposes!] or leverage its built-in Relay Server mechanism which actually resides on-device (by default but can be configured otherwise), * By virtue of be a decentralized/federated model, all other intermediary servers who may pass-along messages (while the recipient's final relay/device is inaccessible) cannot snoop on the messages due to the encrypted nature of contents. The intermediaries may, however, analyze the metadata due to the simple fact that routing mechanisms require hints for relay destinations. Unfortunately, whomever is posting about DeltaChat across socials are misleading with "zero metadata" claims -- especially when the Relays (according to their own technical documents) mandate the addition of chat-version metadata and other decorations in order to actually transport any message. -- Based on this summary, I'd prefer if they'd better dual-path message transport (email server add-in, federated relay engine) rather than patch-on email protocols to existing federated social media frameworks. They're frankensteining something rather than extending widely-deployed technology stacks.
