Here is a Hijack This report, hope you will find which process is suspicious! We tried a scanwith malwarebyte's anti-malware but found nothing!

Quick read through, only things that look out of place to me. Also you could've got something whilst downloading torrents.

I thought 3DS Max uses the GPU now-a-days?

The GPU on a laptop will be poor at best and more than likely wont have the correct drivers seen as most companies dont update thier mobile drivers. Its a pretty safe bet that its just the fact that he just so happens to be rendering 3D at the time that his is slowing down his PC.

thanks everyone!!

it was fine before! even rendering a tiny bit will make the pc freeze!! so no it's not cause cpu si slow!! it's a T7300 by the way and GPU is 8600M 1GB I will remove hs shield and defragment the HDD and see the result!!

You're using a 8600GM to render 3DS Max drawings? Are you nuts? Of course it's not going to do well, that's not a workstation GPU, for 3DS Max or Maya you need an OpenGL workstation card. Take it from someone who went to school for 3D animation.

8600GM Graphics

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Adobe Acrobat Speed Launcher] "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Acrobat_sl.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Acrobat Assistant 8.0] "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Acrotray.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Adobe_ID0ENQBO] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\Adobe\ADOBEV~1\Server\bin\VERSIO~2.EXE

Stop these startup items.

O23 - Service: Stardock WindowBlinds (WindowBlinds) - Stardock Corporation - C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds\vistasrv.exe

I will also look into this.

To stop/start startup items type msconfig in run cmd. This can be used to stop service at startup.

Run CCleaner and ncleaner if you want to clean up all temp data.

8600GM Graphics

1: the graphics card does NOT render stuff. rendering is cpu only. and generally at least on dual core computer, rendering won't leave the computer unusable since window know how to prioritize

2: that card is more than enough for 3DSMAX. I used it on a 7600m on my old laptop, and in the old days I used 3Dsmax on everything form before that down to TNT cards.

You don't need openGL extensions cards, i.e. Quadro cards unless you're doing HEAVY structural engineering, the OGL extensions won't do much for regular artistic max modeling anyway. For going to school for 3D animation you've been taught some very bad things. In fact I'd possibly go as far as accusing the school of being paid of to make their student purchase expensive CAD cards they have no practical need for.

At any rate the best place to start is to delete the 3DSMAX settings ini file. and see what happens.

This. I stand corrected, which is why (now that i think of it) is why we ended up installing a render farm as opposed to rendering out our drawings on the individual workstations.

run that and post your results. The toolbars are crap and should be removed, however that would not slow down your rendering. Opening web pages sure.

what is this scr file? how could it be ran?

Thanks man, I stopped the items you mentioned, I will also run ccleaner!

ok thanks will try that but as I said the problem is also found when using photoshop so I don't know!

Whenever threads like this get posted, people start treating it like it's malware slowing the computer down. But that is almost certainly not the problem. We also see the usual "you need a supercomputer to run 3ds Max or Photoshop"...

As usual, it's a "friend's" computer loaded with torrented software. As usual, we aren't given the full system specs. As usual, we aren't given a specific description of the problem (actual CPU usage during the "problem", is the hard drive crunching, how much memory is being used, etc). We know nothing about the previous state of the computer other than the vague statements "it was fast before and now it's slow" or that the problem also occurs when "using Photoshop". Unfortunately, that really doesn't help us because it's subjective and lots of users have a remarkable inability to accurately assess their computer's performance. The antivirus/defrag/repair industries love that because it allows them to market useless products those people.

Until we know how much system memory the laptop has, I'm guessing that it's paging memory to disk, which will slow any computer to a crawl. If it's not that, then it's the geomagnetic fluctuations occurring in Tunisia.

I'll vote for the latter (Y)

I already said some specifiactions of the laptop I said T7300 for the processor and 8600M for GPU and RAM is 2GB that is all what's needed for this case!

IT IS a friend's computer since you can see my pc sepcs in my signature! As for the very accurate description of the problem I do not really know exactly the problem but based on what my friend said the problem of the computer slowing down occurs especially when rendering even a small entity in 3DS or even working on a 20px x 20px document in photoshop!! at startup used memory is about 680MB but when we open either of the programs it gets to 1980MB!

As for the antivirus/defrag/repair it proved to be efficient in many cases, you may also note that I have a good experience regarding pc maintenance but I never encountered such a weird problem! We are here to help each other because no one knows everything!

Well, if used memory is truly 1980 MB on a laptop with 2 GB of system memory, then you've identified the problem.

but what the heck it's impossible!! there is something filling the memory!! do you think that photoshop idle consumes more RAM than flash, firefox and opera working at the same time no way!!!

download and double click.....I didn't think I needed to give instructions on this.

which is why I said to run the dds.scr utility, will give most if not all of that good info that you are mentioning. run it for yourself and see what it does, far better/more informative than anything hijackthis puts out.
